Big Ben 'leaning towards' playing in 2017

The Steelers did not LOAD up in free agency. But I agree its a 2 year window with Ben and they should have spent more $$$$ in free agency.

I'm not sure I get this philosophy.

The Steelers are still going to be around once Ben retires- whenever that may be. Why would an organization, which has been successful throughout history, change their proverbial stripes now?

As long as we don't have to meet the Pats in the playoffs I like our chances of going to the SB over the next 2 seasons........

New England gets a first round bye. They go 7-1 or 8-0 in a bad AFC East. 6-2 at worst in the AFC East. This means even if they split their other 8 games, they are 10-6 at worst. Sucks, but they are lucky.

Without Ben this is a .500 team. With him you have a chance to make the super bowl. And he's going to retire soon. Load up now.
