Id rather Ben sit this week as a precaution and get rested for Buffalo....

Washington really doesn’t matter much
If we lose this week, then win out, it doesn’t matter what KC does, we get the bye

If we lose next week vs Buffalo and win out and KC wins out, they get the #1 spot

If lose vs Cincinnati, Indy, or Cleveland, but win the rest, it will come down to strength of victory, which can swing erratically... Obviously losing to cinci matters the least there

Its very weird because for tge KC tiebreakers Cinci and Washington matter the least, but Buffalo matters a lot... the most of all our games left, in fact

But for the division, the Washington and Cincinnati games matter much more than the Bills game....

I want Ben to play every week. I was very torn on whether I was going to watch any football games this year and I was leaning heavily towards not watching. What occurred to me and made me change my mind is that we are watching Ben's swan song as a Pittsburgh Steeler....whether it's after this year or 2 years from now. It's coming to an end and I will regret it if I didn't watch him complete a magnificent career. I have been enjoying his chase towards history this year. He ranks 7th in All Time passing yards and 8th in All Time passing TD's. He passed Eli in both categories at the beginning of the season and is chasing Phil Rivers (Yards and TD's) and Aaron Rodgers (TD's), as they close in on Dan Marino in both categories. Rivers just passed Marino in yards 2 weeks ago.....Ben still has 2,000 yards to go. He is about 8 TD"s behind Rodgers and 15 behind Rivers. It's been fun to watch.

Brees, Brady and Payton Manning are out of reach for all of them lol.

Play to win

ABSOLUTELY

The longer BEN sits, notoriously, the poorer he plays once back. Why the hell do you think Godell has him playing 3 games in 12 days....... It's sort of a favor to BEN......

Salute the nation

With our current seeding situation, every game matters. We need to win the winnable games (which they all are), but Washington is winnable. In fact, winning all of them through week 16 would allow us to rest Ben week 17 in Cleveland.

this game scares me. Ben needs to play but he needs to get the ball out extremely fast

If they're 15-0 in week 17, they have to play for the perfect season, IMO.

They couldn't just throw it away at that point.

For now. May be none soon. [emoji853]

So you prefer 16-0 or a SB. Not that it’s all inclusive, but hard to argue a week of rest isn’t beneficial

If the team is extremely banged up at that point, it's one thing to take the necessary rest, but if they're reasonably healthy, I think they should play for history.

Since 2000, the results in the divisional round have been kind of mixed for the teams who lock up the bye and rest their starters at the end of the season.

I mean, we're getting way ahead of ourselves, but I would personally be pissed if they get to 15-0 and just tank the final game.

A championship is the ultimate goal, obviously, but a 19-0 championship is another level of thing.

Given the way we have played this year, do you think a 16-0 (or even 19-0) season would be that significant historically? The Patriots were seen as a juggernaut, and would have gone down in history as such if they had won the SB. On the other hand, no one really gives the Dolphins that much respect for being a powerhouse. I think we’d be viewed in the latter category.

Boz was downgraded yesterday to doubtful. Who's our backup kicker?
