So Dobbs won't have Bryant,Bell, and Brown.

IMO that is a significant no have.........
 
AGREE slash but I think he will still get a significant feel for the game. 1st preseason and starting could be a chance to impress and move towards that #2 slot. We need an improvement and I'm hoping Dobbs can improve on Laundry.

Im excited. They are going to need to decide to draft a qb or not next year. We know Landry Jones is not the answer. This
Kid is maybe to No. I dont expect much Friday. Maybe we will see a spark of something. My hope is that it isnt him running around. That isnt a long term solution. I want to see him drop back and see if he has the arm or not.
 
Dobbs has a nice arm. He's not as strong as Ben, but he can wing it.

what i will watch, since I saw him as a Vol...

  • he fields shotgun snaps with his feet under him instead of staggered. this decreases his ability to get rid of the ball with a hurry and put some force behind it (as he's only using his arm and not his legs/body weight)
  • he can be quick to run - and will run like a wr
  • he can also hang on to the ball too long, then heave it in desperation
  • he rarely gets confused as he is exceptionally intelligent

Or win the number two QB spot with three of your top weapons out for some reason or another.
 
I can't see Bryant playing since he hasn't practiced. You risk him getting injured since he isn't anywhere near being in football shape.
 
I love preseason football!....zzz zz z zzzzz. It's nice to see the rookies play though. They're the future.
 
It could be an ugly game sprinkled in with a few nice plays.

For this game I want to see:

1 ) No Injuries
2 ) What the rookies have
3 ) How much the 2-3 year players improved.
4 ) Any battles for starting jobs or key back up jobs
5 ) How good our new long snapper looks!
 
I hope they measure cranium sizes and distance of the players' shoulders to the ground.
 
I hope chickillo starts at ROLB and LOLB. He's that good

Can hardly wait to see the black & gold back on the field. Damn, seems like that loss to the Pats was five friggin' years ago. Tmrw night everything gets back to normal, we finally have the Steelers to look forward to on the weekends. Just re-upped my season pass, so I'll be staying up for each and every game even the late, late games.
 
As far as Dobbs, would be so sweet if he shows even an inkling for the NFL game. Can't imagine what it will be like when Ben will hang 'em up, hopefully it won't be for another year or two. But it would be nice to finally have a legit QB prospect watching and learning from him. I hope Dobbs is that guy. One game won't mean much, but still looking forward to seeing how he handles himself out there.
