Best pleasant surprise this season

This won't take long: James Conner, end of discussion.

Pgh got lucky that JC developed so well, and stayed healthy all year. My main concern was that we would get hurt often. That never happened.

Runner ups?

Believe it or not, Ben. Many of you wrote him off and said he was in a sharp decline. That was bull: He is leading or near the top of many categories, in my view, playing his best football.

Ju Ju - He avoided a sophomore slump and is right up there with almost any AFC WR.

Haden - He has quietly shut down other team's #1 WR all year.

Hargrave - Hadn't done too much, but with increased playing time, I think he would - using Jag game as a measuring stick.

Old McDonald - Finally healthy, he is among the best TEs in the league.

Bostic - leads the team in tackles. Was brought in to stop the run and has done so.

Let's see how this D does vs. the Chargers, Pats and Saints of the world before we crown our D as great or even good.

Prove you're a true Steeler fan and make these guys shut up once and for all Peeps!

Of the teams you listed choose the team you most want to see destroyed by the Steeler D.

After you pick the Pats then take a page out of Drink Iron City's book and type TOM BRADY IS A CHEATING ***** in bold caps!
That should do it!

You were never officer's material, were you?

It is well-know netiquit to stay on topic of a thread, unless it rambles further down the line.

This was on the Steelers' most pleasant surprises for the season. It was pretty obvious, but maybe not to certain individuals with - shall we say - lesser abilities to perceive.

Hey, we need folks on KP duty too; I ain't hatin'. Your coarse level of rhetoric is unfortunate but hopefully there is a place for everyone in this world, however inane. I wish you the best in finding your level and role.
I am sure you know nothing about what it takes to serve. Just a troll nothing more. And you even suck at that. I am sure there is nothing noteworthy you have done in life. And no sucking off the Patriots doesn't count.

not sure how I missed this. Don't disrespect those who have served this country. This is your only warning

"Runner ups" or "Runners up"? Asking for a friend.

I actually like the content of the first post, and can't disagree with it. I do want to add that Matt Feiler has been a real surprise this season. He was the #2 backup at interior line, and is now the #1 backup at swing tackle. Never saw that coming, and great work in practice led to this promotion.

Switzer was a really nice surprise as well. We needed a slot receiver and a PR KR, and Bam, Colbert made the trade that plugged 3 holes with one move. Thank you Coach Chucky, for not understanding what you have.

D side, Watt is killing it on the left, and Dupree is much improved on the right. That's nice to see. Aslo tough for Davis playing his 3rd secondary position in 3 years, and is settling down into being a solid FS.

On ST Boswell was a surprise on how he missed so many kicks the first 2 months of the season.

Coaching Fichtner is the biggest surprise. He's utilizing situational playcalling and personnel to our advantage. 3rdd downs and red zone efficiency is up. Scoring is up. Offense is top 5.

Butler taking this terrible D into the top 10. Hilton and Haden are a big part of what makes this D click, so no I'm not afraid of facing SD, NO, or NE if those 2 guys are healthy.

My biggest pleasant surprise would be the COACHING STAFF across the board. Seems most positions have stepped things up and seem to be better than last year and first part of this year.................
