Get your heads out the gutter...

White & Bush, IMO, are the best options to get the production we had when Ryan Shazier patrolled the middle of the field. I've watch White most of his career and while he makes plays - the kid needs coaching because he gets 'caught in the wash a lot', but if there's a crease/lane - BEWARE!!! Heat seeking missile...

Currently, I'm leaning towards the Bush-option, if he's there, because he just reminds me of Troy P. so much.

Thoughts???

The Troy comparison has been drawn on a lot. Reality is Mr. White won't be near our sniffing hole. Bush on the other hand is within reach and if he is still there at 1.20, this would be a GREAT time for the ART 2 to perform his best ever dash to the podium drill (or whomever is announcing for us). 2-4 spots, might be all is needed........ We will see.

The thing is I look at Bush and I see a slightly better Jerome Baker. Baker was a 3rd round pick tho had a very good rookie season. But I think #20 should give us a good shot at him

I like Bush over White because I think Bush will be the better coverage ILBer. Which is what you really need in the NFL. A great QB, good coverage players and a good pass rush.

White will be an in your face blow up the play type, as Bush will be in coverage tipping away passes.

If you put Bush in close I think your run D suffers, as he is more of a roamer than a mover.

For what the Steelers are looking for I think Bush is a better fit.

But White should be a damn good player for whatever team drafts him.

I think we need to try to get Bush and that will probably involve trading into the top 15. I can't see us trading into the top 10 to get him, though, but you never know. ILB is BY FAR our biggest area of need and they can't get caught with their pants around their ankles again like last year and not address it at all. Not only do we need a top legitimate starter at ILB but we need someone to replace Vinnie Will in a year or two, tops.

I like White better. Bush had more limitations.

Thing is coach White will be gone in the 5 to 9 range IMO, so you know the Steelers won't trade up that high. So White in my mind isn't a option....

Getting BUSH will extend Bince's career. Bince is a thumper who was asked to cover (not ideal situation for Bince). Having Bush out there will less expose BINCE and allow both to do what their stregnths are. White will be gone but BUSH should be within our range should the need to move up is needed.

Explain the limitations...

Short, perhaps too short to cover tight ends. Might have issues fighting off blocks. I suspect he’s going to need good NT or DT play to be an effective player. There you have it.

Played on a loaded defense, which might have masked the above limitations.

And just like that White broke his foot. Darn. No chance Bush slides to us now.

The Steelers have 10 picks. If they use more than 7 of the picks, I will be shocked and disappointed. As in free agency (which they were more active than they have been in well over a decade), they need to be active to get the players they need. Getting a top ILB should be their No. 1 priority.

Vince was doing nicely up to the point that Shazier got hurt.

I do not see a scenario that White is not gone by pick 10.

If he is there at 13, you gotta be on the phone. the lower he drops, thought, the lower Bush should drop.

What do you pay to get to 1.13 should he drop????? Will it be to high a price VS the number of our needs???

I think to get to 1.13 would be to costly but 1.15 is on the edge.
