What is Burnett's injury?
I didn't think Burnett's injury was serious ?
It's a hamstring and he hasn't practiced since he got hurt the first week of preseason.

Burnett would be a big loss. Hoping for a recall IR. Not a season ender. Would they go to Edmunds?

All IR designations are recalls now. You don't have to designate anyone to return, but you get to bring 2 players back after 8 weeks.
It's really odd that someone is IRed due to a hamstring. I suppose it's severe. He came back from it and played in 2 preseason games. I don't know if he reinjured it or it was misreported. The only thing I can think of it being is a 'sports hernia', since it's close to the area of the hamstring, and you can play on it, but you really need to rest it for 4-6 weeks to recover completely. Best to make sure he can come back 100% than to play injured all season.

Steelers placed Olasunkanmi Adeniyi on the Reserve/Injured List. Too bad, really like what he brought. Best young pure pass rusher I've seen on this team in awhile.
I am sure that is with the designation to return though.

Right, but it's also six weeks of practice that he's missing early on. At some point the Steelers are going to rotate their OLBs and I want to see this guy on the field where he can just get after the quarterback.

Curious that they IR an OLB and bring back Behre over maybe Adams (on ps). Way better than Burnett going onto IR though, hopefully he'll be back soon.
I am sure special teams was the first and last decide.

There is no designation to return anymore. You just can only bring 2 players back. Doesn't matter who, but you don't have to designate them anymore. Good thing too. It was a terrible rule.
