Snail looks quicker and faster this year. Good for him.

He runs low to the ground.........Finds the crease and runs forward at all times. I like that.

Can you imagine if he could run with the patience that Bell Had?

I'm not sure the line in it's current state can allow him time for patience.

Bell was terrible.

not as a Steeler

Snell needs to protect the ball better

All our skill players make me nervous when they get out in the open field...

I agree, That was his best game Just hold on to the ball.

Conner, your time is up. Thanks for the hard work.

My hunch is the rookie MacFarland will shine. He hits the hole quickly and opens up the outside run possibilities. Play him.

I wasn't happy about the fumble but he made up for it later.

Conner looked bad before the injury and Snell looked good. He may have won the starting job. If not, he is damn close to winning it and I love James but he just doesn't have it.

What Roy already mentioned and I'll just expand on, I love Snell's ability to get skinny, find the crease and lunge forward for those extra yards. His quicks were on display as well, especially when he outran Peppers to the perimeter and upfield.

I feel for James Conner. Guy is all heart and work. He's had some seriously bad luck befall him. Either the cancer did something (beyond our understanding) to the bones/joints/ligaments in a way or he's just one of the unluckiest guys out there. I refuse to believe he just quits upon a boo-boo.

Want to know who else looks fast as hell? Vince Williams. He was supposed to be a slow run stopper. Dude looked like he was shot out of a cannon last night!

Yes he did. The only time I cringed was when they had him back in coverage. That needs to never happen where he is alone on a WR.

I was hoping to see Mcfarland last night. I’m not sure why they keep trotting out Samuels. Hopefully it will be this week. I would be ok with Snell/Mcfarland combo.

Perhaps with the no preseason and limited camp etc. Macfarlane just wasn't up to speed. I'm sure we'll see him soon. Like thinking about the potential one-two punch of he and Snell in the backfield.

And Samuels is a reliable pass protector, that's why you saw him out there on a few 3rd & longs.

Benny is a better back than Connor. He always falls forward for the extra yard or 2 which is important.

Was not a fan of his but last night he played very well. Conner has gone through a lot and is a good kid but may be a thought to let him go. He injured again and his style of running has not been that productive for the Steelers

I've always been a fan of Vince. He's been a play maker his entire career. He's just been opposite two very speedy ILBs adjacent to him in Shazier and now Bush.

Snell effectively took away the starting job from Conner last night. He's got to wrap up the ball better. We can't have those fumbles plague us this year. Conner danced instead of hitting holes and Snell went right at it. Huge contrast in running styles.

Yeah, Benny lost about 10 lbs in the offseason and is noticeably quicker. Turned the corner on a few runs last night. Last year he couldn't even make it to the corner. I think the fumble was an "aha" moment for him and ball security won't be a long term problem. I'll admit I didn't like the pick due to his lack of speed but now he's looking like a keeper.

His vision and burst was definitely on display last night. Wouldn't surprise me to see him take the spot over Conner especially if injuries continue to be an issue.
