Ben to Have Surgery

Next week is going to be ugly. QB and OLB should be taken in the first 5 rounds of next year's draft.

I think I'd rather he sit out that game in Baltimore and come back in 3 weeks. Whenever we play in Baltimore they tee off on Ben all game it seems.
 
I, too, read the 1-3 week rumor. Some guy on twitter Dr Chao I believe, said it was a trim and would be 1-3. He also said it wasn't at all like Peterson's injury. Even if it turns out to be this way, I gotta say that I'm still shocked. The play itself wasn't egregious, and I thought maybe Ben was overselling it a bit as we've seen him do. Hopefully, this is the case and we can get healthy after the bye and hit the ground running.
 
It wasnt the hit that hurt him, it's when he lands after he throws, his knee locked up it looked like
 
if he's out that long...play for draft pick. play and experiment with the back ups...plan for the future...this season is done.

******* non-contact ****. I mean I guess that's how you could classify it. Jeez, how many instances in NFL history. Oh well. Like I said, we all hope the early reports were reading are true and it's only a couple week thing. Hell, everyone's writing em off next anyway so he might as well sit out.

I think he hurt it when he stepped out of that ankle tackle before he threw the pick .
 
This is not a season ender. Ben can come back in a few weeks. The problem is Landry Jones has yet to start an entire game and win it. His next crack at that is the Patriots. Good luck with that.
 
just watched the replay....dude that put the hit on ben...guess who he beat right off the snap.....pouncy.
 
We all pretty much feel like next week was gonna be a loss anyway- with or without Ben. So he is out 2 weeks-thus one and the bye. It's not over. The sky isn't falling. Take a step back from the ledge, everyone. Worst case is we end these next 3 weeks at 4-4 and tied with Baltimore. Best case (not likely) is that we end these weeks at 6-2. (Like I sad-not likely). But all is not lost.
 
Good news is we see how bad Landry jones sucks because evidently the ownership loves this lose. (Read this in Donald trumps voice )

Anyone not having questions about the Steelers medical staff? I'm not a physician but I'm thinking trying to play on that knee wasn't a good idea.

We are going to the Bowl......and this was all part of the plan.

with a week 8 bye and NE coming in on Week 7 The plan was to sit Ben so NE and the freakazoid Ernie can't film him and the team with his google glasses and use it against us in the playoffs.

We are finally getting smart.
