I hope you are right because I've had both and a separated shoulder is ligament damage where your collarbone meets your shoulder - AC joint. Can't pop it back in. Hurts like hell. He might have also had a dislocated shoulder and they popped that back in. Not unlikely.I was yelling yesterday when Burfect sacked Ben. His shoulder was out of joint at that moment. His right hand was glued to his belly and was carted off never moving that arm. He returns and is able to play.
It's a dislocation and they popped it in when he left the field, and he was good enough to finish. I've separated a shoulder and returned in the same game when I played football. I wasn't a QB, but it's doable. As long as no severe damage was done to his AC joint, he should be good to go next week. He may not be the same for the rest of the playoffs, but Ben is a competitor, and wants to win. He just can't afford falling on this throwing shoulder for the next couple weeks, because his weakened AC joint would lead to future dislocations.

Look at the shoulders post-game.

If I was an orthopedic surgeon, I would instruct him NOT to land on it.If there is no extensive damage on the MRI, he will play. The problem is, since Ben's shoulder was dislocated, his AC IS strained. He has a chance of it slipping out again if he lands on it.
