It's Wednesday, meaning Ben isn't practicing. What does he do on his day off? Does he attend meetings? I keep seeing DNP every Wednesday for Ben, it's been that way for a while.

With Ben out, Rudy's in. Does that make it a less productive practice for the offense?

No, It gives snaps to Rudolph. Same has happened the past 4 weeks with JuJu and DJ taking Wed off. This allowed Claypool and Ray Ray to get snaps and is a big reason why they look comfortable when balls start coming their way in games.

I'm pretty sure Ben is still on site, he's just not throwing on Weds

Like Cope is saying, BEN is just not doing the actual practice physical part. I'm sure he still works out, goes to meeting, spanks the wife when he gets home.........................

Salute the nation

So many articles detailing how Ben has taken other players who have been given the day off (Ju Ju, DJ come to mind) and worked on his timing, deep ball, mechanics and footwork on his "day off'" this year. Seems to me that we are seeing the results in his improved play from week to week.

Veteran's day off to rest and recover. Yes he is still there and attending meetings and practice. He just isn't out there putting and additional wear on his body.

Well, you said sane; or in other words, someone who's not in a mental coma.

Fun stat of the day: Ben currently has a 11:1 TD to INT ratio and has a 109.7 passer rating. Not sure he's ever started off a season with so little mistakes.

I remember an article a couple weeks back that said he spent his (wednes) day off working on footwork. As I remember the following week, the booth guys pointed out how good his feet were.

Also, they are the 4th ranked offense in the league in terms of ppg. So, I doubt that Ben's DNP on Wednesday's is making the practice less productive for the offense.

At this point of his career double benefit. He is rested and ready. He is also much more likely to be injured and your offense has a better chance to carry on for a few weeks if Mason is in charge on Wednesdays. As much as we say no one id above the team, that does not mean they are all treated the same. A franchise QB on every team is treated differently. The whole ****** team is sunk when you lose one.

Apparently, after the browns game Ben said he felt like he was "back in Cowher's offense"...just handing the ball off all day...awesome...because it works.

It wasn't the Cowher offense...it was the current Steeler defense that influenced the offensive play calling Sunday..

In fact, I hope it happens the rest fo the season!

I said the magic number was about 3500 yards or 200 + yards per game. We don't need the ****** 5000 yard season here. Play defense, run the rock. Timely passing on third, redzone and big play opportunity. As much as I like Ben , if this is him bitching about the offense he can STFU because that would mean Big Chest and Juice were right about him.

How did you arrive at this opinion? No one said he was bitching. I swear the guy can't say anything but stock athlete answers without someone freaking out. As soon as he is "real" people think he has some damn agenda. He is human after all, has emotions, feelings, and God forbid an honest opinion.

Yeah I don't get it either TBH. Ben's main motivation (period) is winning. I don't think he cares how he gets there. We've heard the stories in the past about his 'sick' competitive nature, and it was just confirmed by that documentary where his own agent, Ryan Tollner, said he was the 'most frustrating competitor he's ever gone up against'.

Look at how excited he gets when someone runs the rock in (instead of him padding his stats). The guy just wants to win. Stop trying to analyze every ******* word he speaks and just enjoy the show right now. It's been a while since we've gotten that chance.

Yeah, and as exhibited last year, when he is gone it could be awhile until we enjoy the show again.

I always thought Ben took the day off and relaxed at home drinking beer and eating burgers. Who would have thought he would actually be on-site and just not throwing.....resting his arm and getting the 2nd stringer some snaps.

Yep. Running to the kitchen jumping over and around all his kid's toys laying all over the place.

That’s not it. Just want to hear what we does on the DNP days.

There are some really good articles out there so you should do some searching, I think you'll be happy about what you find/read. If I had more time I'd do it for you, but you're a grown man and are capable of doing the whole interwebz searchy thing.
