Ben is back to elite level form!

Ben never has been a "workout warrior" so make no mistake -- his legs are going. And its to be expected, the man is 3 months away from being 36. Make no mistake, the "Big Ben" moniker is dead on -- when I met the man every part of his body was just bigger than a normal person: his face, nose, ears, hands -- it was his genetics.

He never was a film study expert either -- so to call him "elite" at this time is inaccurate. He is capable of playing at an elite level.

But he's not going to wake up tomorrow and train like Harrison..... but bottom line he should be working harder since this is HIS JOB. And especially if this is his last season, do it right. This opportunity with this much talent doesn't come every year -- make the most of it by taking care of the body at least for a few more months.

Ben has been using his legs more ( see the Green Bay game ), and you're probably selling him short a bit on film study as he's been doing this for over a decade.

For example in the Green Bay game when he saw man coverage with deep routes and an open middle he quickly decided to run for yardage, which was the correct call.

Also Ben is 35 with a March birthday. December, January, February, and March, so he's four months away from his 36 birthday if you want to be technical.

Harrison body requires a lot of work to stay in shape and should retire after this season. Ben if he wants to can physically play at a high level for at least another year, and he did say he;s made some adjustments in work out habits as he is older now. I don't think working out like a demon would help Ben. As long as he keeps his weight and conditioning at present levels, he's fine.

So he doesn't stay in shape and he doesn't study much film, I have no clue how he's compiled these numbers he has, must be lucky 🙄

Ha! Sure he's been lucky to compile the numbers he has!. Ben has been unlucky on some picks this year if anything.

Stats in todays NFL are easy and cheap/ Kirk Cousins has a higher career QB rating than Ben for instance and Cousins is far from elite.

It seems like Ben was sleep walking through the season and he woke up once they went down 17-3 against the colts. Up to that point, Ben was missing open receivers, holding the ball, forcing deep throws, and he was not moving in the pocket.

Something changed in that Colts game and he came alive. Moving in the pocket, scrmbling. buying time, making throws. He's been a different guy since then. The deep ball still hasn't quite clicked but that's partly because most teams are playing back to take away the deep stuff. Ben's has started taking the open throws and the offense has taken off.

Don't force it deep. Let Bell have 10 catches per game if they keep leaving him open in space. Those deep balls will come once you carve them up underneath. With the steelers playmakers it's not like these underneath throws are for 3 yard gains.
