Ben Carson’s past called into question again as claims he hid white classmates during race riots

Last month, Carson detailed how he protected his white high school classmates the day after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's 1968 assassination. Violent race riots ravaged Detroit's Southwestern High, which enrolled more black students than white students.

Carson, a junior lab assistant with a key to the school's biology workroom, shepherded his frightened friends to the lab to shield them from the violence, he told the Wall Street Journal.

The newspaper spoke with a half dozen of Carson's classmates and his high school physics teacher: Not one remembered his heroic hideaway.

A Wall Street Journal article notes that Ben Carson apparently claimed to have been named "most honest student" by a professor of a Yale class that never existed.

“The professor came toward me. With her was a photographer for the Yale Daily News who paused and snapped my picture,” Mr. Carson wrote. “ ‘A hoax,’ the teacher said. ‘We wanted to see who was the most honest student in the class.’ ” Mr. Carson wrote that the professor handed him a $10 bill.

No photo identifying Mr. Carson as a student ever ran, according to the Yale Daily News archives, and no stories from that era mention a class called Perceptions 301. Yale Librarian Claryn Spies said Friday there was no psychology course by that name or class number during any of Mr. Carson’s years at Yale."

Carson has a variety of problems and will never be the candidate...he seems ill-informed on a lot of issues. He's a smart likeable guy but doesn't really have the chops for this.

That said, pulling out all this petty **** from his early years is counterproductive. I don't think people care. And I have to wonder when anyone is the media is going to start poking around Bill and Hil's backgrounds. Anyone really believe they've been honest about everything? How many people have heard that Bernie Sanders once wrote a "women like rape" essay?

Ha ha, I just saw a facebook post from a friend of mine. He wrote" "I am so excited to hear from my Republican friends about all of Ben Carson's adventures. I think he must hang out with Brian Williams a lot!". I posted "Well, he didn't dodge sniper fire like Hillary or have a composite girlfriend like Barack or insist he did not have sexual relations with that woman like Bill".

He immediately deleted my post and then defriended me. I guess some people can dish it out but can't take it.

Hillary gets exposed during a congressional hearing for lying about Benghazi and the circumstances surrounding the deaths of four Americans, and lies about how she violated national security procedures for classified information - all while she was Secretary of State - and yet these liberals are whacking off to the idea that this stupid West Point thing will kill Carson's candidacy.
 
I believe Carson made Sirius Radio's Outlaw Country's show hosted by Mojo Nixon "Lying Cocksuckers" weekly episode because of this!

It's not like he was brought up by marxists,communists,hate churches or domestic terrorists like dear leader. Those things are A ok and encouraged. The fact is anyone halfway decent will get pummeled by our twisted media.

I don't know the truth. But read carefully all that portion of the article "proves" (note-I didn't read the entire article) is that a story or photo about it never appeared in the Yale paper. And that a librarian refutes the existence of the class. I wouldn't post that as an indictment of even a dem it seems so weak.

I know the WSJ is pretty typically fairly conservative but.........I'll wait for Carson's response. He has been taken out of context deliberately before.

More of his autobiography is falling apart. He must not have anticipated a presidential campaign vetting when he exaggerated in his book. As for Hillary, your view of what happened during the hearing is not fact based. Get out of the bubble.
 
all candidates should be as squeaky clean as Hillary and Barak.

It's fun watching libs ***** about Carson. BHO's book is so full of lies it should be classified as fiction. He lied about his parents being brought together by the 1965 Salem march. He lied about he and his mom being abandoned in Hawaii. His mother left first. He lied about He lied about his uncle liberating Auschwitz (which was liberated by the Russians). He lied about his Step-grandfather dying while fighting the Dutch. He died hanging drapes. He lied about his mother's health insurance. He lied about his girlfriend while attending Occidental. There are roughly 38 lies in his book.
 
I thought Ben did a pretty good job of dispelling the hit attacks. You won't know that if you were immersed in your own bubble.
