I'm glad he is having this procedure but also know I am not a doctor. I wonder why the wait??? Also does this happen if he was used a little differently than the running the wheels off mentality of CMVLT???
Get the deal done if there is going to be one. Tag him next year too if need be. He'll be wore out after next year because of the wheels falling off thingy.......

Hope he heals fast. Waiting almost 2 months is ridiculous. My guess is he won't be ready for the start of camp.
 
Seemed like they wasted time hoping it would heal it self, which it never does. However, it's not me. Any surgical procedure has risk (as Pouncey found out).
 
He should be back full speed by mid-October

6 week recovery they're reporting. Same surgery Bud had I believe.
 
Hell he'll be close to ready by mini camp, not sure where people are thinking he's going to be out long term.
I would not give him big money, not if Tomlin is going to run him into the ground.

I meant after he gets busted again while smoking all that weed since he's going to get bored sitting around healing

LOL, good point, they are talking about legalizing it in PA though
 
Interesting that Tomlin did not report this injury during the playoffs, and the Steelers tagged him before this surgery. An unnecessary roll of the dice?

Coryea, it doesn't matter if legal or NOT. The NFL has it as a banned substance and that is what makes it a suspension. I realize you know this but want to point it out to others.

I think in light of the prescription drug media report there will be increasing pressure to drop weed from the testing. You could keep it on for arrests and DUI. I think it just looks stupid when you are handing out Codine (when there is a opioid addiction crisis) but you suspend guys for weed. It's just really ridiculous. Pharmaceutical drugs are only legal when they are prescribed and used properly. Clearly the NFL is not doing that. Big PEZ dispensers.

They wanted to see if it would heel with rest. Plus he had different doctors tell him different things. It's not like they waited until Sept 3
 
If he had laparascopic surgery, the healing/recovery time is much quicker (than being sliced and diced).

I had a double-hernia done that way several years ago.

I was posting again in no time.
