Bell plans on reporting during the bye week. Week 7

Wow. I just read the article. Surprised the Steelers told him they would exercise the transition tag on him in 2019. I hope they stick to their guns if they can't get something decent for him now.

You wonder if that was their thinking in the beginning of this **** show, and perhaps changed along the way...............

#Steelers HC Mike Tomlin asked about possibility of his star RB returning to town. Says, "I have not talked to Le'Veon and I really have no Le'Veon update... We'll cross that bridge when we come it it. Nothing has changed from my perspective in that regard."

lol

I'd keep him on the inactive list for 2 weeks so his cap number drops and then the transition tag dollar value will drop for next year since the Steelers said they were going to transition tag. him.

This was discussed on NFL Radio. NFLPA would get involved as the moment he signs the tag, the period any future tag is calculated at that time. Team decision to suspend or not pay is considered outside the purveyor of the tag according to the CBA.

Why would anyone on this team welcome Bell back. Tomlin should stand up and say no way he plays. Tomlin has no backbone and if I was a player on this team I would not want Bell's locker anywhere near me. This will just add more of the soap opera under Tomlin

Simple. The team is better with him than without him. You play the people who give you the best chance to win no matter how much of an ******* one of them may be.

Ultimately, temper tantrums from fans mean nothing

Ben Roethlisberger: Steelers would welcome back Le'Veon Bell

“If he can come back and help us and be ready to go, then we’ll be ready to welcome him back,” Roethlisberger said Tuesday on his 93.7 FM radio segment. “There were a lot of things said earlier this year, but that’s in the past. We’ve moved on, and he’s moving on in a sense to getting back and being with us.”

“I think the key is if and when he gets here, I’m sure he’s not going to be in ready-to-go football shape, get the ball 30 times in a game,” Roethlisberger said. “But we don’t necessarily need that.”

“He’s been a teammate of ours and a really good football player and I hope he comes in and can help us,” Roethlisberger said. “Right now we can take some help.”

Could Bell actually be smarter than any of us give him credit for being? Let's say we split the next two games and Bell comes back, we go on a run and end up deep in the playoffs again. Now Bell gets to say look at how much I mean to the team when I wasn't there, they were 2-3-1, after I return we are 11-5-1 and in the AFCCG. They will be backing up dump trucks full of money at his house. Even if we continue to lose but he puts up big numbers, and the offense winds up in the top 5... again the sky will be raining million dollar bills.

Bell could actually be playing this perfectly.

This could be a cinerio as you say but just as easily as BELL breaks knee in half after Suggs fall awkwardly on him.

BELL's motivation back is money, plain and simple. He also wants to satisfy the contractual year. There is a LOT between here and then so nearly anything can happen. Bell isn't stupid but I wouldn't overly credit him if for some reason it plays out in his favor because the STELERS still have the upper hand in all this.

Salute the nation

Well, since he often plays only 1/2 or 2/3 of a season I'd rather it be the end of the season.

According to a local newspaper whose name cannot be mentioned here neither the front office, coaches or team members have actually spoken to Me'Veon about the "game 7 return".
LOL indeed.

That is a old rule, every paper can be mentioned here.

The Post-Gazette?

Why wait until week 7? ****** SAYS He's all about winning in the playoffs....someone better remind this selfish ********** that his team could be 1-4-1 by the time he reports...that's not good for playoffs!
