Bell gets Three games

Don't excuse the owners from this. They allowed it. They could of very well took a harder stance also..they do when it comes to guaranteed contracts. The NFL decided their business was more important. And I never said it's A-OK I said I don't care. If Bell gets caught how does it affect my life? It doesn't. That's his life he ******* up. Not mine. Because if they truly cared they would of take a harsher stand against weed. They chose money over weed just like the other owners. How can you choose a stronger stance against other drugs but it's OK for weed but you want me to care.

And again for the thousandth time I am not debating the states law. Never once said I was. I'm supposed to lose sleep cause Bell decided to use drugs. This has been my stance since Ben was in a accident. I'm not going to lose anymore sleep based off guys off the field incidents..I invest enough emotion into the Steelers on Sundays. I'm not worrying about **** I can't control.

The owners don't want the players who generate millions of dollars of revenue sitting out games. Neither does the NFLPA. So they agreed to not test them during the season. Imagine that. But the fact remains that marijuana is still a banned substance in the NFL...it is NOT allowed. Period. Whether they are testing or not testing. It's really that simple. Bell is well aware of this. He's the person that shouldn't be excused.

You never said it was A-OK? Well, you did say this: "Him smoking in December of last year I don't have a problem with." Gee, that sounds pretty much the same to me. It's fine that you don't care. I'm not asking you to care. What I disagree with is your insistence that there is no problem with players smoking weed simply because they know they're not going to be tested. It doesn't make it "allowable," or right.

And it's wonderful that you're not debating the state's law...feel free to not live in reality, and pretend it doesn't exist for the thousandth time. You won't (and in fact can't) debate it, because there is clearly no argument as far as legality is concerned.

So, since you avoided the question the first time, I'll ask it again: How do you know that the Steelers didn't care about Bell smoking in December 2014?

It's of my opinion that the NFL doesn't care which includes the Steelers because they set it up that way. IMO you don't get too say you care and then allow something because it affects your money.. either it's a issue or it's not. And you have every right to disagree just like I have every right to say they don't care. This is the same league that I just read that there are multiple offers on the table from teams around the league for Josh Gordon. Who just so happened to be coming off a suspension for weed. Yeah the owners care..so if the owners don't care IMO why should I??

If you don't think the Steelers are at all concerned about Bell smoking weed, whether it was on the way to the airport before a preseason game, or in December of 2014, or yesterday, or next Tuesday, you're out of your mind.

Bell and Bryant are certainly letting the Steelers' organization and fan base down with their own selfish (and illegal) actions. You might not give a **** because it doesn't affect your life. Great. Again, I'm not asking you to care. It affects my existence, however, because my family and I derive a just little extra happiness out of life when the Steelers are successful. It's one of the small joys we get to experience together, and I'm sure many other fans of this team feel the same way.

I've explained myself on this topic every which way Top. Of course they care to an extent I give you that. But not enough to take a more firm stand by making it more strenuous on the players. The owners including the Steelers chose money over weed. IMO.

I understand how you feel as far as your family and that's the way you feel. I choose to go the other way and not let Steelers give me anymore stress then the games on Sunday. Believe me before we won the lowB repuS in 2005 and then again 2008 I was a basket case when it came to this team. I thought they would never win one in my adulthood. I was 5 in 79 don't remember them games. Then in 2010 and the lost to the Packers I had anxiety attacks leading up to the game.. After that and after Ben incidents I decided that I can't get myself stressed about players off the field incidents I gotta chill and realize it's just a game in the end. So in not expecting everyone to have my view point.

First of all I haven't smoked pot in years lol. And both were embarrassing for the Steelers. Doesn't matter the circumstances. My point is the Steelers were patient with Ben why not with Bell.

No charges vs. one more **** up from pretty much done after a year off? Please stop already. They need to run his *** into the ground and make a run at the title. Then if he won't accept an insanely team friendly deal, let some other sucker invest in the unlikely possibility that he won't **** up again. I got to see him play here in college, and I was amped when we drafted him. As great as he is when he's on the field, he's just not bright enough to leave that **** alone.

So Ben wasn't one more **** up from being off the team??? Please spare me the Ben didn't do **** bullshit.. Ben was being a major ******** and it was embarrassing. And I'm not saying he raped anyone. I definitely don't believe that. But he was a major ******* and it was embarrassing to the team and fans. And one more **** he was done playing for the Steelers. Two different circumstances one very illegal and one a player being an total ***..either way it was embarrassing to the organization. The Rooneys practiced patience with Ben why not Bell??

They already showed patience with Bell and Bryant.

But I am hoping their patience is wearing thin.

But you said it yourself one is illegal one isn't. Isn't it being illegal enough?

To others it may be a bigger deal..to me it's not. But I'm biased I used to smoke.

You are correct they are showing patience and it doesn't have to be endless. Hopefully Bell and Bryant get their **** together like Ben has.

So the Rooney's backed Ben's suspension(embarrassing the owners) but the Rooney don't care if Bell smokes weed. Hmmmm.

You can try and twist it anyway you want..when I speak about the Rooneys I'm speaking for all owners who agreed to set up the weed program they way it is. I could be wrong maybe the Rooneys were out voted I don't know.. But it's of my opinion the owners don't care or care about their money more.. we are talking about owners who tried to hide the facts on concussions for years.

What ever. You seem to have gotten all upset when slashsteel explain to you Ben was never charged and did nothing illegal .....while this was your example to defend Bell's use of weed. When I used my example earlier(and it was only an example of something illegal NOT a comparison) you called it stupid. Now you us Ben's non charged incident as comparison. LOL

Still stop where did I get upset?? And in my post I said Ben did nothing illegal. I said he was a jerk. Was being a jerk worthy of suspension?? Different debate for a different day.

But can we agree it was embarrassing. Can we agree that Bells ILLEGAL actions are embarrassing to the Rooney's also.. Can we agree that Ben was one more incident from not being a Steeler. But the Rooney's gave him a chance. He took advantage. Hopefully Bell can do the same.

Upset show me where??

The Steelers bring in Karlos Williams for a visit who is currently on suspension for lo and behold weed. Weird.
