By: Jonathan Clark SteelerNation.com   If last year told us anything, it was that the quarterback position is just as valuable as advertised. Going into last season, the QB position was probably one that caused the least amount of worry throughout the Pittsburgh Steelers organization. Pittsburgh had a motivated Ben Roethlisberger looking for what most […]

Nice article! Hodges is definitely a great story if he can develop but I just don't see it. His arm strength just wasn't there. Lynch has the intangibles but something went arye when he entered the NFL. It would be best for Hodges, Lynch and Barrett to have had this offseason to get better now that we have a QB coach. I really would like to see what Lynch and Barrett can do with a good QB coach. Hodges won't go far unless he somehow improved his arm strength, which is tough to do but not impossible.

still can develop Hodges as he can work on making better throws and reading coverage, I think lynch size and overall talent unseats him, would like to barrett as a wildcat bootleg type trick play guy but lets see if he has more potential than Hodges.

Good in depth article Jonathon.

I see Duck flying south for the winter. Paxton is the ZOOM IN talent with the QB coach. Maybe he can step up and click. As for Barrett, I don't know enough about him to predict.

I wonder if Paxton kept showing up at Canada's house with two duffle bags by accident, would that be against the rules.......... ?

Gotta love Duck's story, moxie and mobility but his arm strength was totally exposed last year by the fourth game he started. His deep throws take so long to get there the defense has all the time in the world to adjust to them. Just don't see him being a factor in the NFL. Would have been a great Arena Leaguer. I'm hoping Lynch can figure it out with some maturity and good coaching. The guy has all the tools, hopefully he can put them together. If not, there's a long list of guys "with all the tools" selling insurance instead of playing on Sundays.
