I see potential (with the D), but that has to turn into something more than that.

We undoubtedly have a lot of talent on D....but it ain't worth **** if the coaches don't know how to best utilize them.

Guys roaming free in the middle has been a problem for years.

Was hoping for more from Bush tbh. Maybe my expectations were too high. I know it's early, etc etc and etc. I know he leads the team in tackles. He's been the recipient of fumbles others have created and kudos for that.

But he gets thrown around a lot. He's not preventing the passes over the middle we'd hoped for. Zero sacks . Maybe it's just me and I know it's still early and will pray he continues to develop.

I think he will continue to develop into a solid football player. But yeah you would like to see him clean some stuff up quickly...

Nice article Hunter, thank you.

This D is missing their best run stuffer at middle line backer. They are making plays and are figuring out the scheme (worthless scheme it is). I too am excited to see how the morf through out the season. Only thing holding them back is coaching / scheme.

Salute the nation

and years and years and years and years. Every single big name,no name, journeyman...e v e r Y o n e and their mama..have the middle of the field open all day every day.

It's beyond ******* ridiculous now.

It isn't Bush's fault the expectations put on him were too high. He is a rookie, a young one at that, 3 games into his pro career. For the love.

The disappointments are guys like Heyward or Dupree who are doing nothing out there, for example. You know what you see is what they are. There is hope for improvement.

When that TE Will ******* Dissly of the Seahawks made us (and Devin Bush) his own personal *****, it was humiliating, and yes, beyond ******* ridiculous.

I love Baldinger's film breakdown. The guy oozes football.

I enjoy his breakdowns too. I think he needs to watch more film of Devin Bush though (it's not that good).

Believe me, I want the kid to kick *** and take names, but it looks like the NFL transition is going to be more of a learning curve than I think both he and we all thought (except for Vader). Polamalu didn't have an impact his rookie year either. And I'm not saying Bush isn't having an impact, he's just having some growing pains. He is getting baptized by fire though.

Good point.

Bush has his faults but Baldy is right that he is always around the loose ball.

He's around the ball because he is being blasted out of the hole. Just look at the last fumble he picked up against SF. He's being absolutely steamrolled. He's not even in the film until the ball bounces over to his side. He may end up being a great ILB but he isn't ready yet. There is no need to sugar coat it. In his analysis he only mentions the fumble recoveries because he can't show anything else. Just a guy picking up a ball that was right by him. He doesn't watch how he got there in the first place. I'm sure he is doing the best he can. He's young and he needs time.

I called him Jarvis 2.0
That’s what he is soft, super soft. He’s excellent on getting tackles after 12 yd runs. Probably because he’s getting blown 15 yds back

I called him Jarvis 2.0

Who? Bush? Wasn't Jarvis actually decent against the run? And they couldn't be more different (measurable-wise).

True. Jones wasn't undersized. Bush is small.

They’re both weak on the field. Bush gets totally blown up not to mention he can’t cover for ****.
