How the **** are we still using 2 DLINEMEN against NE?????? NE goes 7 DBs and still puts 3 big bodies up front and Hightower so they don't get man handled.
This is most frustrating part of ******* Tomlin, he sticks with this **** assed scheme, then at halftime says it's not the scheme, WTF???

I said it earlier this week 2 lineman does not do it. The dumb *** is sure stubborn on this one.
 
Jesus, they should let the guys who actually played in the preseason games play tonight. They would have probably been better.

It puts Cam and Tuitt, two of our better defensive players in a situation to fail. They singled Bud, left a TE/RB in to help on Watt or chip, so that left their 3 interior guys to block Cam and Tuitt. You have to win the LOS, you're not going to win the LOS with just 2 DL.

The real question becomes how quickly this team can wipe the stank off after this blow out.
 
All you need to hear is Tomlin speech we were not ready for prime time. What he hell as he thought about since the schedule came out, he is a big time loser in NE and he come up with that answer. He is an embarrassment to this team when he makes these type of typical statements from him

Sounds like something Tomlin would say. Because we've actually seen the offense score vs NE before, we've seen this same crap defensive scheme over and over again, guys completely wide open. It's a defensive thread.

We scored 24 2 years ago and 17 last year,

We also held them to 10 last year., so we've seen the D hold them before. When you score 3 ******* points, what your D does is 99.9% irrelevant.

While I understand what Ark is getting at, there was nothing of value from Offense or Defense last night. There is no reason to try to blame one more than the other. The team stunk top to bottom and was one of the worst showings I have ever seen from this team ever. This team has been in a burning tailspin since they got their *** handed to them in the playoffs by Jax.

Held them to 10, one time. Just because the offense sucks, doesn't mean the defense has to suck does it???? The offense was crap too, go start an offensive bash thread. Tomlin sucks all the way around when it comes to game planning, and situational football. Offense and defense.

Didn't use this defense in Pittsburgh, we sent pressure alot more last season than this season. Watt was not doubled last season, he was last night. Dupree was doing nothing vs a guy making his first start, why not send a blitz at that guy a time or two?

We may have played them differently last year. I have no idea.

In just about every respect, our D looks better, on the paper, than they did last year or the year before.

These guys played in the preseason quite a bit, i think, and have zero excuses for how they played.

However, it became irrelevant, quickly, when our O couldn't do ****.
