Ask Drunk Cope 5/17

Happy May Long *******!!!!! On the deck for the one good weekend before the mosquiotos and ticks get ravenous. 66 of Costco Rye. Yesterday was National Caesar day. So delicious. Oh Canada!!!!!!!!!!!

Drinking a lot makes it so I never wake up with a headache...

I also only drink water all day, then switch to a beer or 2 at dinner time.

Dang, you must take a piss every 20 minutes.

I have to disagree. While the TV show is superbly done and cast so well. The books have infinitely more detail and more interesting characters which have been cut out of the TV show.

I like the show to see Tyrion come to life, and aria doing her thing in the house of black and white.. but ,,, aside from seeing it come to life ,, its very short on the detail of the relationships etc.

What I'm saying is , I have to avoid all the spoilers and its not easy.. and it pisses me off. I WANT to read the books and see it through. I don't want the ending spoiling the books

I swear if I ever meet him I'm gonna pop him in the face.

I do understand that, and I love the books as well. The show got me into the books, so I understand completely about his detail and character development, and insane plot arcs. He's a master at it. I read slowly, I'm only on the 3rd book, but I have all the books through 5, so hopefully I'll get through those just as 6 comes out.

I also like that GRRM is perfect at being descriptive, but not overly descriptive where it becomes boring and monotonous like JRR Tolkien. I know what trees look like JRR, you don't have to extrapolate 3 pages of description on them. Man the LOR trilogy was a tough read for me...

So Patchface is Game of Thrones' Tom Bombadil?

I do pee a lot. It's great for the kidneys and flushing the system. I also work from home, so it's not that big of a deal to go to the bathroom here!

And the best part, no chance at getting kidney stones!

I drink about 2L of water a day. 3 when I play hockey/softball.

patchface, cold hands, jinglebells, Aeron Damphair, Euron Crowseye, Victarion, Marwyn of the citadel, lady stoneheart,,, etc... LOTR did a great job recreating the books. Sans Bombadil and some barrow wights.

same here. water all day every day.

I do really well on Saki and SoJu. It makes me the life of the party at the Korean restaraunts I hang out at!

First, can't believe I missed this yesterday, and second, there are some funny *** videos out there of people drinking SoJu. Everybody seems to want them some SoJu (be careful what you wish for).

Well, I'll ask a question. It was kind of already asked, but what rookie do you think will have the best year and contribute the most of the bunch?

Sorry, had to put the daughter to bed. Also, I'm a bit of a movie buff. Love sci-fi, fantasy, animation the most. But you can't beat a good drama as well. Just saw Infinity War with the wife and loved it! We're talking about going to Deadpool 2.

I don't want to hit on spoilers, but If you like comic book/star wars/star trek/aliens, I'm your guy to rap with. To this day, nothing is scarier to me than the life cycle and design of aliens, and how they adapt to take on the characteristics of their hosts.
I'm Alien addict , need my fix every once in a while

Loved the Aliens saga Cope. Totally agree w/ what you said about Aliens 3, the Directors Cut is the only way to go. Loved both Charles Sutton & Charles Dance in it. Apparently Fincher had a real gripe w/ the studios too calling it garbage what they did.

But Aliens, with Paxton, was just entertainment at it's finest. Could probably watch that movie 100 times and never get sick of it.

It's a bit different, but we need receivers. We're down Eli and Bryant. Samuels and Washington should fill those roles. It will come down to which one of those players are showing, in preseason, that they should be in the offense as much as possible.

For Washington to show he belongs on the field, he has to show he is a legit deep threat, can get open, and fight for contested balls. He has to show that he's a better outside option by leaving JuJu in the slot on 3WR sets. If Washington shows that he is outside capable and dangerous, we will have a lot of talent on the field X Y Y Z being AB Samuels, JuJu, Washington.

For Samuels, he has to show that he can be a legit slot receiver in the NFL. I personally think he will be, since he was a slotted TE last year, and rarely lined up inline. This would push Juju to the outside on 3WR sets, and would only have room for Washington on 4WR sets.

As a betting man, today, Washington may be the first starter on the team from this class, but Samuels can do so much as a runner, TE, slot WR, HB, or wildcat QB, paired with his special teams play, hopefully KR team, possibly an interior coverage player on PR and KR. That versatility alone would have Samuels in the drivers seat for being able to contribute early, often, and on special teams.

I did my best. Alas, my powers are limited...

I love Fincher's movies. He's got the best eye and camera follow of any director I've ever seen. Watch the long shots and how he coordinates the camera movements to the motion of the actors. No one else does it as good as him. I remember seeing 3 in the theatre, and though I liked it, I was a little let down from Aliens. Then I read how in France, they were going crazy for Alien 3. It was because they released the directors cut outside of the US. The studio said the movie was too long for the US audience's attention span. That's a bullshit argument today, but back then they didn't want anything over 2hrs let alone 3 for this director's cut. Well worth it.

Plus I loved the DC of Aliens as well. Showing Newt's family as colonists. The scene with Ripley and her aged daughter. I thought those were some good scenes there too.

I think the new punter we drafted will be the first rookie to start..........

Oh, wait.....we didn’t get one.

And I bet you the rookie punter we passed on out produces Berry and costs a lot less on the cap. But we both know that.

Edmunds #34, not to be confused with Rashard Mendenhall or Walter Abercrombie will see the most action early action, I think.

Which punter Coach? I wouldn't mind seeing how he does this year.

Also I like the "deer in headlights' caption, but if you know the stadium and look at his eye placement, he's checking the time on the scoreboard.

And...what’s your definition of production? YPK is not the primary measurement of production any longer in the NFL.

What does Edmunds have to do with this dialogue?

We've had this discussion a bunch. Coach is starting to realize that Barry is a top 3 coffin kicking punter in this league. 2 touchbacks on the season is fantastic, and no rookie is going to have the backward roll on their punts, unless they're from Australia...

I got a case of Charm SoJu at the little Korea area of Ellicott City, MD by the intersection of 29 and 40

2 questions Cope:

1. Do you know the D'Alonzo's in Ellicot City?
2. Are you still drunk?

I don’t doubt it one bit Cope. But beware, the attention hog will proclaim he was right about Berry anyway.
