Per our friends at 93.7 The Fan they are reporting that owner Art Rooney II has met with the Pgh.media and said that no more coaches will be let go this year. Also, when asked about Tomlin getting a contract extension its reported Art said, "those are things we will get to eventually". Also, has not had any contact with AB but did say no trade talks have started and no doors have been closed yet.

Also said he discussed with Tomlin having someone in the booth for challenges but that they would not hire someone for that duty. Wonder who that person would be??

So my friends, looks like Danny Boy Smith and Butler are staying for 2019 season and decipher how ever you'd like about the Tomlin comment. Doesn't necessarily mean an extension is coming but also could mean there is one coming just haven't got there yet.

Wake me up on draft day

If Tomlin gets extended without at least getting back to the AFCC game, I'll maybe boycott the Steelers.

Good luck with your boycott, although frustrated, there is nothing more enjoyable on tv than football.

He sounded like a politician, I came away knowing nothing I didn't already know.

Which is probably best with this sideshow right now. Maybe a "we tried everything we could to get Munch to stay but we understand family comes before everything else".

And he said AB still has not contacted he or Tomlin.

That's just unbelievable. What a turd this guy turned out to be. His last game as a Steeler; 14 catches for 185 yards and 2 TDs (one of the better games in his career) and he's undervalued and underappreciated by his teammates and coaches. SMDH.

This would be a great spot for Gradkowski or Chuck Batch watching the replays and managing the clock for Tomlin.

Challenges would certainly start getting used properly.

Heard he said he doesn’t understand why people are referring to the team as a circus and pointed out that they finished a half game out of the playoffs.

Are you ******* kidding me?!?!

I guess that’s how you look at things when the TV money keeps rolling in and the waiting list for tickets is a long one.

We'll see how the team responds next season.
If they trade AB, there will be no "diva" in the locker room.

Tomlin's scapegoats are gone. No more excuses

Is the team a circus or is Antonio Brown a circus?

I'm not sure if either would be my guy, but with two young QBs on the roster I think there'd be some real value adding a full-time QB coach to the mix. Perfect dual-role coach to help manage the clock and replays if they don't have a pure "analytics" coach on staff.

I don't see anyother STEELERS player under the tent.........WAIT.... I mean "ACTIVE" player.!!!!!

Not a circus. Well lets throw next years training camp on hard knocks and we can all decide for ourselves.

Wouldn't it be weird if the Steelers resign Bell and AB doesn't get traded?

The board would explode.

I am ok with whatever is best for the Steelers. I do question how Bell will perform moving forward with a year off.

Weird? Everything seems weird with this team. The "circus-like" atmosphere week by week this past season, starting with the Leveann Bell debacle and ending with the Antonio Brown debacle has been downright embarrassing.

It seems to have sucked the life out of this group. Coach Tomlin appears to be wallowing in the wind.

It will be interesting to see where the Steelers are projected to land in the AFC North next year.

Cope, with this team lately, nothing would surprise me. I don't think they are done with LevBell by any means. Lots of rumor about them placing the transition tag on him which I've felt all along they would do so that wouldn't surprise me.

As for AB, I would have thought this thing would have calmed down a bit so cooler heads would prevail but no such luck with the constant media attention and twitter crap. That bridge may have been burned though.
