Now there is a headline I thought I would never see. All in all Archer looked loads better than he did last year and actually made plays. He was far from perfect but looked better than a lot of the guys on the field wearing the same uniform last night. We had a few other guys that looked like they could play the game but that is all a few.
:rolleyes-new::wtf::logo::1:

Ha, thats right *******. This guy, right here - the driver of the Dri Archer band wagon.

I'm not enamored by Archers performance. He may have looked average. I still think he is just too small to be effective at this level. And Haley has not been able to get him in space with the ball where he could possibly do some damage.

Archer was above the line yesterday, finally showing his open field skills. Blend him in with the starters, he can be Randle El in our offense, doing a bit of everything. Needs to hold onto punts though, damn! He did show nice vision on that kick return, and on a few plays on O. I think Haley will have a role for him, albeit a secondary role, but he could help us in spots this season.

Archer looked good preseason his rookie year. I'm not sold yet.

Archer looked like he was worthy of a roster spot. He has a role to play. First return from the end zone past the twenty five I remember in a long time. He did well on a draw and broke some decent runs. He will never be a replacement for Bell but at least he looked like he could be used to give him a break during a game for a play or even a series. He actually ran a screen pass that worked for some decent yardage and we have not seen that in a while.

Well if this thread doesn't come close to the 180 page record, IMA gonna be disappointed.

I also thought Archer looked good last night. Really looked like a weapon coming out of the backfield in the passing game. Shazier was awesome!

Quite the claim to fame there one has. Careful of arm strain...................... LOL

"wondering"...........15mins

Salute the nation

He definitely showed a burst.. You can see that he is the fastest player on the field, and given a crack, he will explode through it. He goes down real easily though

Yeah, little guys will go down easy, so they especially can't be tripping over their own feet lol
If you scroll down and watch that play, Archer trips on his own feet.. .could have put on another juke or two if he stayed upright!

That was the only thing that bothered me, and I am a Archer believer. Just appeared that he was stumbling far too often.

If he can learn how to stay on his feet once he breaks through the tackles, he will truly be dangerous.

I didn't get a sense that he was anything special compared to the young players around him.. What I saw was a little guy that couldn't keep his feet solid under him and some small hands that struggled to keep a handle on the ball.

I'm not gonna hate on him. He was OK. I'd have expected against the scrubs they could have busted him for a real long play but whatever. The players that actually will make a mark that looked good to me were Tuitt and Shazier. They were both pretty sudden.

We will see how he does as the pre-season goes deeper. He's a situational spot player.

digest on that thought, Archer was the best player yesterday according to some...

Lets not put Archer in the probowl just yet, he played decent against scrubs. He has yet to do it in a game that matters. Not muffing punts would be nice too.

I said this too; but, as I stated in my karma to you - not one of us here can run a 4.2 40---the kid is seeing his openings now and his body just can't keep up with his legs. Not an excuse; but, if he slows himself down a half notch - WATCH OUT...

Tough call, Unc...give him a few more games to get right...

No he did not - only one play - against the Giants in pre-season; after that he was minimized to Ant-Man...

Archer had 4 carries for 24 yards and 6 catches for 33 yards. That means he averaged 6 yards rush per carry and a horrible 5.5 yards per play passing. He had 1 good run of 15 when the defense was expecting pass. That doesn't even count the number of times targeted. He played ok but he wasn't great even against scrubs that won't be playing football in a few weeks. He also muffed a punt.

For the record Leveon Bell averaged 5.2 per catch last year.

IMA gonna be disappointed.

So, from a "terrible grammar" point of view, you're kind of being redundant here. The "Ima" part really makes the "gonna" completely unnecessary. You can simply slur out the "I'ma be disappointed" a'la Kanye and you're covered here.

Of course it's still ridiculously poor grammar, but at least it's not "Double-poor" grammar.

I'ma let you finish now...

What? He averaged 10.3 YPR last year. You must have looked at the wrong column.

You are correct sir I did. My bad
