Apparently NBC was the only one dumb enough to want Tomlin’s “insight”.

We got a little mini heat wave in Vancouver. Went swimming in the wild Pacific for the first time this year. Over the last 2 days I’ve seen a grey whale surface numerous times, seen a pod of Orcas breach, multiple seals,eagles, and a huge *** beaver chewing a log on the foreshore. Then last night saw a coyote chase a rabbit into the thickets. Get out there guys she’s a beautiful world out there.
DIC….. tried a 16’ Delta Kayak out on the weekend. Quite a bit different than the 14’.
Way more room for storage for multiple days on the water.

We never got the chance to write anything (good or bad) about Tomlin or any of the Steelers in 2007, because we were not permitted to interact with the team as we were in the three prior years as members of the media when Cowher was still the head coach.

Thats weird...do you think they did that to all the small market media teams? They may have had limited credentials they could pass out putting the small guys on the chopping block??

No idea. Like I said, we weren't given a reason. Getting a hold of credentials wasn't a problem from 2004-2006 when we requested them. New head coach, new rules for training camp, maybe? I don't know, but I don't think it was a coincidence, either.

For ***** and giggles, I searched "porch" in the forum database... results went back to feb 2018,,, the only time that term was used other than this thread was in the political forum in the context of someone talking about being called that... never in association with Tomlin...

Im not going to say there wasnt a racist dumbshit or two that hasnt criticized Tomlin for stupid reasons during that time, but they didnt use that term...

Mostly, though, the criticism of Tomlin was absolutely warranted and he was specifically at fault because he became too micromanage-y and conservative and didnt retain top end assistants... the vague racism claims by apologists are just deflection...

To be honest, NoKap should have use the "DEI hire" slight as an example... its less dramatic and less offensive, but something he could absolutely find on the forum on the subject of Tomlin that had racist undertones... but that was a very small segment of the people criticizing Tomlin... most saw him as a guy who had tons of early success, but steered down the wrong path and couldnt self correct... it was past time for him to go.

What he doesnt get is that i never said what forum it was on. I've been on multiple Steelers forums, threads, apps, discussions that are Steelers everything. I dont get why any racist undertones used towards Tomlin would be a surprise or why I would be challenged as to whether I've seen it or heard it before. If I've seen or heard it I know for a fact others have seen it or heard it.

You're right, the DEI type threads can be a given, but I've seen comments and posts way more direct then those in my history of being on fan forums, discussions, threads, commentaries.

Thank God that artificial intelligence is able to shed some light on the subject.

My real-life experience was that Tomlin took over, and things changed. He very well could have established different parameters for the media, including some of the ones mentioned above.

...or Rooney could have. I understand Tomlin is low hanging fruit but after his first year he starts cutting out the small guys? I mean there's no motive behind it. You said yourself nothing had been written about him good or bad so i dont get why the finger pointing. He doesnt know you guys from Adam. In addition it would seem to me that wouldn't be his call. Im trying hard to empathize but this ain't it.
