176lbs in February... 192lbs in August

Not sure if he will be IR's with a designated return or for the season.

But at least he is putting out the effort, to build toward the future.

even if it isn't immediate future..............

All this means is he's just back to his natural playing weight. Most players diet down for the combine in order to run a faster 40.

What about Archer, did anybody tell him the Combine 40 was over???? Will he beef up too????

Salute the nation

See this doesn't make sense to me. To put on the weight, you have been training, lifting weights and so on. If you can lift with the shoulder, why can't you play?

Unless he has put on the weight eating Snickers bars.

I have a nerve problem in my shoulder. I could work out fine minus a few angles stretching my arm. If I played any sports I would hurt it instantly because you try to reach far and fast on instinct. I really wonder what's up with him.

Sweet another FNG reliving his glory days. Love that ****. Tell me more Mr Jamison!

OK. I have been blessed in that I am close to 50 and never had a serious lasting shoulder issue. I did have something going on a few years back that would keep me up at night, but it went away. I know I couldn't have lifted weights, then, either. So I just kind of figured if he can lift, assuming he is, why not play. Obviously I was wrong.

BTW, I did play. Back before there were facemasks.

played football but was lucky enough to not have any major injuries

but in my 20s hurt my shoulder when a driver plowed into me coming from a offramp

couldn't veer off the road because it was just me and a brick wall

long story short a totaled new car and a hurt shoulder later

I rehabbed at the gym but could barely lift anything on the one shoulder.

Started working with the shoulder machine /light weights.

And in time built up my strength along with the natural healing process.

Without knowing the severity of his shoulder injury. It is impossible to know what he can and can't workout on.

But I know he was running on the practice fields, so he can move the shoulder obviously.

His one arm mnight be twice as strong now lol who knows. But it isn't impossible to gain strength and muscle nursing a injury.

You can work on your legs , other arm, shoulder. And I am sure to a lesser degree the hurt shoulder. (depending again on the severity of the injury)

I just want to know when he's going to be putting the pads on?

somewhere between regular season game 8 and not this year (well 6 if you count practice eligible)

if you believe the press clippings

Am I really the only one who wants to know how someone would go from the combine to the draft to rookie camp then show up injured when it's time to get to work?
Dude wtf happened

He was interviewed and stated in the interview the injury happened during mini camp with out any real specifics that I remember. And it was one of those types that initially they were not sure if it was going to be in need of surgery or not. As to how things like that happen it is odd but if I remember correctly Dan Krieder or his predecessor tore a calf muscle walking to the field from the locker room at either training camp or practice one year so weird **** happens to folks sometimes.

Tore my Labrum and rotator in 2009. I can tell you 100% that you can function with those injuries (i continued to work for 3 months before injury was positively diagnosed) but it is extremely painful. If his shoulder is that bad i have a hard time seeing him continuing to lift weights.
