I an't read the whole article but thank you Hunter.

At the end of what I can read it says Heal up your frost bite feet so you can get on the field......so this can all be over.....

ONE PROBLEM

With a guy such as A clown it will never be over as he will ALWAYS have something "dumb ***" come up.

The NFL screwed up on this one.

They caved. And in so doing, demonstrated that Brown truly can do whatever he wants. And if he succeeds, it will be because he "stood up" to the man. If he fails, it will be because "the man" made him wear a different helmet than what he's used to just to prove a stupid point.

He's got the NFL in a double-bind. They have no winning route here.

If anybody REALLY though AB was going to sit out the year or retire, they were on ******* crack. Dude is a money ***** and he isn't going to let that 30 million go for nothin'.

A "new" helmet manufactured by the company would have to pass the safety standards test, while an "old" helmet that is less than 10 years old gets by on a 'grandfather clause'. However this is bullshit because Brown's current helmet is past the 10 year mark and he has already USED his grandfather clause grace period. If he gets a NEW helmet (to him) that happens to be 8 or 9 years old it isn't really fairly 'grandfathered in' because it wasn't HIS helmet.

The NFL should have just shut this **** down. Now they have opened a can of worms for ANYONE who wants to use ANY helmet less than 10 years old. All to keep Big Baby from whining and moaning and ruining ratings on Hard Knocks.

Schefter and Florio are milking this to the end. They hypothesize that since the helmet model isn’t on the exemption list he could “theoretically” find a helmet that’s less than 10 years old. Point being, Schutt would need to advise if that model is still in production or has it been replaced by a newer model due to equipment safety board review.

Wig is spot on here. There was a grace period where the NFL gave players who wore helmets not on the approved list. The fact that ABs helmet isn’t on the non-acceptance list is irrelevant. There are 18 different types of helmet approved by the NFL. 18 different types accepted by the league after all the safety reviews due to the CTE/concussion lawsuits. They gave players ample time to make the switch, including a grace period. AB is just using it as an excuse so as to not practice during camp. Expect no give from the league, because it’s the franchise who is penalized for letting a player practice or play in a helmet not on the approved list. The player isn’t punished by the league, that comes from the club.

So all these players giving their condolences, thoughts, and prayers towards Coach Drake, and all AB is concerned about is a helmet. AB is on social media 24/7, did he ever express his sadness? Coach Drake was his coach last season
