Anybody Boycotting the San Fran Game Tonight?

People are really turning off the NFL because of a few players exercising their rights as an American by protesting in a silent and peaceful manner?

Hmmm?

Tuning out is a form of silent and peaceful protest as well. Are you judging one more harshly than the other?

No....what I was trying to convey was...

I believe there are other reasons why the ratings are down for the NFL...

IMO---Diehard's could care less about the individual protests..

I rarely watch nfl games outside of the Steelers. I'll watch an mnf game here and there. But my interest is only in the Steelers. Never been into watching other nfl teams

Even with the NHL, I rarely watch anything other than the Lightning. Since there are so many opportunities to watch them play, there really isn't much time to watch other games. Trophy wives need a lot of pleasuring.

I have friends that live in MN so I will watch a Wild game if it is on. Or a pens game.

Just depends on sport. I think most of the posters here are more football than hockey. I can sit through nhl games and watch if the Pens are not playing. Always like to see Jagr defy father time. Tampa runs a speedy system like the pens and are always fun to watch. Been a Matt Dumba fan before he got drafted. So I like to see how he does for the Wild. Seeing the filthy flyers lose. So really just depends on sport. I have no problem getting my football news from you yinzers. A lot better than listening to the nfl network or espn stuff

Lol@boycotting sitting in front of your television and watching a game that has zero implications on the football team that we all follow.
What revolutionaries you guys are!

Count me in the crowd that believes fantasy football is having an impact. The group of fans into playing that probably just check the stats at this point, no real reason to watch the games. It's time they make the game their most important product, not everything that surrounds it.

My biggest issue in watching games now is the length. They all used to finish up within the three hour time window and now many are regularly going well past that. I love the NFL, but 3.5 hours with all of the commercials and I begin to lose interest. If not for RedZone channel, I'd probably have games on, but not pay attention (which is exactly what happens for every night game that I watch). They're just too long.

Agreed. The game got too big. Commercials have always been a part, but now it's just ugh. Fantasy football, nfl political marketing. It seems theres a shirt for not just breast cancer but any cause now. Pink, rainbow for lgbt, camo for military appreciation etc. the nfl needs to let football just be football.
