Any word on Haden?

Mitchell is the new Timmons now that he's gone. I guess a designated player each season has to take the most of the ire of the fans and somebody had to step up in his place this year. Up until this season I hardly ever heard any fans complain about Mitchell....it was Tmmons sucks at this and Timmons sucks at that. Now Timmons is gone and all of a sudden Mitchell can't do anything either and never has been any good. I've been trying to make sense of it the past 11 weeks. Bizarre.
No, he is playing injured and it shows

He has zero interceptions and sacks. 2 passes defended and 38 tackles. How would you describe his play

We recognize that his production has been below the line. Umm, however, that is just the nature of the beast when you're returning from injury. We value his contributions to our journey, but acknowledge that significant improvement is necessary if he is going to keep up with and stay on this moving train. And we're going to need and expect him to do that in a professional and timely manner.

I think you are onto something. last few years Timmons would just randomly get bashed in any thread. the thread could be about how well the offensive line was playing and somehow it would turned into a lets bash Timmons thread. He is gone and enter Mitchell. this thread is about Haden, but lets bash Mitchell. I guess we need someone to be angry at.

I never once bashed on Timmons. I always loved the guy. He took a little while longer to start, but when he did, he was a playmaker.

I've only ripped hard on 3 players in my history of watching the Steelers.

Mitchell, who started good, then kept getting worse each year. I began grumbling last year, and this year he gets my full wrath.
Blake. Dude was on ice skates, and double moves knocked him down
Sean Mahan, the worst center I've ever seen in my life.

Though the reason why Mitchell is the most frustrating of the bunch, is he has the ability to be a great player. He just isn't, and him trying to play through these nagging injuries, to be a tough guy, just hurts the team. Sit for 4 games and come back strong, so you can make plays. Trying to play on a 75% leg makes you look like an ******* out there. Then making poor decisions in coverage, he lacks the speed to make up for anyone, let alone himself, when a play breaks down on D.

He's still the only player that I would support out of those 3, if he started making plays. Right now, he's just not making any plays whatsoever.

Read article that Haden is off crutches and is expected back before the end of the season. No timetable was given but good to hear he is off crutches.

Heal faster

Steelers will be without corner Joe Haden for at least a few more weeks. Won't know the status of Ju Ju for sure until the end of the week

3 weeks was an insane time table to return from a break. I'm just happy it wasn't season ending!

Haden will be getting an xray next week to see how the bone has healed and determine his practice schedule. Could be back on practice field for Week 15 but still TBD, per Jeremy Fowler
