First my gf told me that the steelers signed Romo I said huh?? I said I had not heard anything and highly doubted it. She knows NOTHING about football I asked her where she saw it and she couldnt remember. Then she said they are interested in him if Ben retires. I looked around on the net a bit and had not seen anything. Just wondering if anyone saw anything vaguely related to this or if it was just one of those stupid facebook rumors?

Possibly just rumors. I can't see the Steelers offering him at the moment

nevermind I found it. People are morons...... https://lockerdome.com/thefakeespn/...steelers-have-traded-for-cowboys-qb-tony-romo

iled to ESPN this morning, the saga in Dallas with what to do with Tony Romo has finally come to an end. Jerry Jones had made the executive decision last night that they would deal Tony Romo to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers, who are coming off a terrible playoff loss to the Patriots, will enjoy having Tony's veteran mentality in the locker room.

In return for Tony Romo, the Cowboys will receive:

- A pack of Slim Jims

- A coupon code for the NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTv

- A Landry Jones fat head (Does just as much as real Landry Jones)

- A scratched copy of Madden '16 for PS4

- A Target Gift Card with a balance of $17.34

Tony is expected to be the team's primary clipboard holder and will be tasked with making Gatorade runs for the players who are actually getting playing time. Tony played in exactly 0 games last season and miraculously only threw 7 interceptions.

Mods can delete this is wanted

Other than my BIL the cowboys fan. Why would we?

I'd happily take Romo as a backup but I don't think he wants to be a #2 again. Coming here would actually be a good move for him.
We NEED a good backup, and Landry ain't it, because we can count on Ben to miss 2 to 4 games a year.

Man will be starting for someone not riding the bench.

Your probably right but........... Just a few short games then bench ridden with some kind of injury.............

If he comes as backup money, I would take him for a couple years. He'd be the best backup in football. But, it would have to be at what they would pay Landry or any other backup.

if Romo was willing to be a backup wouldn't he just stay with the cowboys?

I'm interested in seeing Romo go to Denver.

if so, I'd be on the phone seeing what the asking price is for Siemian

How about a draft pick for backup QB. I'd rather see someone young who can move and bend a little. If Romo has to bend any he breaks.

Even if the Broncos acquire Romo, they'll still hold on to Siemian as a potential future starter.

We aren't interested in no Romo!!! (not that there's anything wrong with it)

The steelers like to have a veteran backup so it's possible but unlikely. Not on the Steelers end but on Romo's. i would think that if he's going to accept a backup role, he'll just stay in Dallas.

Is Romo that stupid to expect a long term starting job?? Are there actual teams in the NFL that would sign him starter and expect more than 6-10 games out of him, especially those who don't have the best offensive lines??? PIPE DREAM
