Blake was arrested Sunday morning in CA for public intoxication. Police let him sober up and then released him. Not sure if charges are pending.

This all per TMZ.

Ant-didn't-won

Well, as far as arrests go, at least it wasn't something worse. That said...8 games because he's a Steeler and played with Harrison.

Haha, seriously though this is pretty weak, so he was drunk standing outside a bar, so you could arrest anyone standing outside a bar that's been drinking? Idk if he was disorderly I'd understand, but man I guess you better stay inside until the cab or your ride shows up.

Its a dilema ive ponders more than once when i drink: If i get behind the wheel im wrong. But if i leave my car at the bar and walk home then i can get arrested for public intoxication.

Wisconsin doesn't have public intoxication as a law just because you'd have to arrest half the state. Honestly, guy is getting drunk on St. Patrick's day and makes a good decision not to drive so lets arrest him. ******* California.

He should get no suspension at all. Public intoxication is not really against any policy per than perception. Kind of like Ben getting screwed. He wasn't driving so no DUI. Put him in counseling and should be no suspension.

Doesn't the 'new policy' make that an automatic 2-4 game suspension?

At least he didn't get shot in the ***.

The guy just won a million. Party time! At least there was no coke nor hoes, nor driving nor guns.

Usually when you get booked for public intox you are most likely acting a fool on the street and then decide to lip off to the cops when they get there lol. Otherwise I think they mostly tell you to get your *** home and sober up.

Random thoughts...

1. So does this mean the First Draft Pick will be a CB, Coach Tomlin?
2. Somewhere in Miami, McCain is laughing at this recent tidbit of news.
3. Patrick Robinson must have walked into today's meeting with a hostage list, ...err contract list of demands along with Blakes's police report as leverage. And the Steelers still said No.

Pittsburgh's very own Otis Campbell. All he needed was a loaded goat, to complete the scene..

Minor incident or not, these guys need to stay out of the headlines. Blake is an up-and-coming role player and I'd had to see him throw it away over something senseless, though, I don't expect anything to come of this.

Or getting stabbed by someone who wants to steal your ride.

Not a big deal. He was smart enough not to drive or fight anyone

i know but the best I had on short notice

Probably 75% of people walking around or at work today are under the influence of something...hell most of the medications people take are worse for you.

Smart enough not to drive but too dumb not to be stupid (to get noticed) and then lippy to the cops. Never know anyone ever that wasn't doing something dumb in the first place followed by escalation of stupidity when talking with cop to get a public intoxication.

Had to be really stupid because CA cops are a generally pretty easy group to deal with. They have way more pressing issues.

There was a story a few years ago that Dallas cops were going into bars and arresting people for public intoxication. They were in public and intoxicated...

That is the way I feel about all those laws which give you a ticket (a DUI?) if you get in your car while drunk or have the keys in the ignition even if the car isn't started or moving. Make a good decision. Punished, anyway.

There also have been several stories about the Pa legislature exploring the idea of a "walking while intoxicated fine" on par with a DUI since that can be scary and dangerous (and lucrative for them)... Im not sure if they want to suspend your legs or not though.... lol
