Antonio Brown

They may restructure him next year to move some money up as a signing bonus, but he's not getting a new contract until 2017.

Yeah I heard something like that somewhere also. If it keeps AB happy.....

He only needs 28 catches to set the single season mark. Probably not doable but I wouldn't be shocked.

When AB got that winning TD I was like:

My only complaint is he goes out of bounds too easily. He's a threat to score every time he touches the ball, cut back and try to make something happen. Especially when you consider the piss poor tackling in today's NFL.

That's the same complaint some people used to have about Franco. He's in the HOF and they aren't.

The only person to stop Brown this year has been Michael Vick. Seriously, if Ben was healthy all season Brown would be on the verge of 2,000 yards and breaking all kinds of receiving records.

My son texted this to me......"If Ben had been healthy all season and AB's averages held he'd have the best receiving season in NFL history.....like 144 catches, 2145 yds over 16 games."

Sounds about right.

The guy's work ethic is second to none... and it shows... his route running and sideline footwork are immaculate... he has gotten a little hotheaded lately, but that is the only real knock on him....and it aint much of one....

I disagree - sometimes AB 'does too much' and sometimes loses yardage. I wouldn't trade him for any other WR not on our roster....

And before the discuss starts - IT'S TIME TO PAY HIM LIKE HE'S THE BEST WR IN THE GAME. Period.

Here's a great article on his numbers and accomplishments in the past 3 years:

What is amazing to me is that Brown was a 6th round pick (which isn't nearly as emphasized by the pundits like it is for Bwady), and he isn't even 6ft tall, but the guy is the best WR in the NFL (moving towards being one of the best all time, and if he keeps pace, Jerry Rice territory, I know, "you can't suggest that" ) over all the super freaks and athletic nightmares that have existed. When Ben and AB are healthy, you can mark it down AB will have at least 7-10 receptions and at least 100 yds, which is simply ludicrous (AB plays the outside, while Wes Welker did his damage from the slot, just another awesome thought to mull). Only thing is I wonder how AB would've done in the league before the flag football rules (Especially since Sherman was allowed to do whatever he wanted to him with no consequences).

Hocccccckkkkkkkk, spit

Go die in a fire

I want him healthy

Hey SoccerPlayerIKE, you want Jacoby Jones returning punts - you go die in a fire.

If he can do flips into the end zone, he can cut back and stay in bounds.

Imagine if this offense had a healthy Bell... damn I miss that guy!

True, but DeAngelo has been awesome. Hate giving the coaches and FO too much credit, but DW has been lights out for us. Nice acquisition.

Honestly Cope I don't know if we'll ever see what a healthy LeVeon will or could do. Two major knee injuries in back to back seasons is pretty significant. He's young and can possibly recover fast, but he's young and could become timid at the point of attack, and fearful of injury again. I hope he comes back stronger and better, but very few have.

Jerry Rice (as of right now) is the GOAT for receivers, but here's a little piece of information that you probably realize but never knew how many years he played with a HOFer, he played his first 14 years (I would consider that your prime) with a HOF quarterback, either Montana or Young. There is no way that AB will play with a HOF quarterback in his prime for 14 years, Ben will be 40 in 8 more years and not likely to be performing at the level his is right now (although he will be a HOF quarterback). It will be interesting to see (provided he stays healthy) where AB ends up on the all-time list in receptions, yards and TDs. Exciting times to be a Steeler fan.

AB is currently 130th all-time in receiving yards and is one of only two players (DeSean Jackson - 29) under 30 that are currently active. He'll be right at or around 7,000 yards if he manages 155 yards in the final two games this year. Just for some perspective, Rice ended with almost 23,000 yards over 20 seasons. If AB could manage 7,000 every 6 seasons as he has done so far he would have to play for 22 plus seasons to catch Rice, damn, it almost seems that they had to miscount Rice's yards for him to get to 23,000. He's 6 good seasons ahead of second place, Owens with about 16,000.

AB could conceivably catch Rice for the number of catches if he can play for 12 more years and average the 520 +/- that he has averaged over the first 6 years.

Rice is the leader in TDs as well with 197, second place is 156 (Moss), 4 very good seasons behind him. AB with his 37 TDs is tied for 219th at that rate he'll have to play 30 plus years to catch Rice.

Rice's numbers are staggering.

It is truly a delight to watch him play. Dude is sick.

I'm kinda disappointed AB hasn't broken Flipper Anderson's record already, 2 more chance this year. HERE WE GO STEELERES!!!

The best part about AB is he is a once in a lifetime freak of the game, and he is a Steeler. 6th round guy who is probably the best in the game. Oh, and he's a good dude. Awesome all around!

I remember his first couple of years people constantly bitching about him celebrating first downs lol

Like Deion Sanders said.............. to all db's Antonion Brown is a grown man and arguably the best in the game.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Old skool fans don't like it....nu skool fans ******* love it.

Ward is my all time favorite receiver to watch catch, run, tackle, block, and score. AB is the most talented receiver we ever had (and that is saying alot since we have 2 HOFers and Ward should be one as well). AB has broken a different steeler record each year he has been here. He's not competing against his peers in the league, he sets the bar. He wants to be the greatest, and the few players that have that drive to go with that talent, become very special. Stay healthy and the sky is the limit for him. It wouldn't surprise me if he breaks 2000 yards in a season with Ben. I only hope they get as many years as they can out of each other.

Look, no one can expect Brown to keep up this level of play for long... that is insane, and you cant count on a guy playing past his mid 30's.... but he is 27, and Jerry rice, at 27 had 160 fewer catches and 400+ fewer yards than Brown does right now.... a conservative breakdown with him playing just 7 more years puts him around 2nd of all time in receiving... if he does play to 40... who knows....

Lol Rice had 160 less receptions but only 400 less yards than AB? Wow
