And the Heads start to Roll (Head coach firings)

My opinion is probably unpopular about Smith. I didn’t mind him. He was way better than Canada and Fichtner. I appreciate his offensive philosophy which is close to the Shanahan style. He has called some turds and was stubborn about his game plan at times-but what coordinator isn’t.

His time in Pittsburgh is done though, I wish him success and luck should and when he does move on.

Not sure about that, Fichtner with Ben post elbow surgery ranked 12th in scoring and 23rd in yards, both ranked higher than Smith. And Canada's offense never ranked below Smith's in yardage. Canada with rookie Pickett ranked 23rd in the NFL in yards, right now with Rodgers and DK we rank 25th in yards.

Figured McDaniels would get booted.
Now wondering if the dysfunctional Jets will move on from Aaron Glenn.
Glenn just looks way in over his head and it looked like that team quit on him.

McDaniels officially out at Miami. Rumors are that they want hairball.
I can easily see Hairball going to the Dolphins.

It's hard to say with Smith or any coordinator how good they are without knowing all the inner workings of who calls what or who is told to do what. All I know is our offense has been very similar regardless of who is at QB or coordinator. The Canada jet sweeps are gone, but we are still passing laterally and not using the middle of the field near enough.

For me it depends on circumstances. If the Steelers had or planned to acquire a proven veteran QB that isn't 40+ years old, Arthur Smith is fine. He's easily our best OC since Todd Haley...light years ahead of our last two guys, IMO. I don't trust him at all to develop a young QB, which is the direction we may be going within the next 2-3 seasons.

To get ahead of things, Smith has already established who he is as an OC and has previously been a HC. If he does get a job, and I think there's a very good chance he does, it would not be a branch on the coaching tree.

The Raiders may just have the worst ownership in football. You need to give the man time to unfuck that shitshow of a team. Even then, you give him a **** roster and expect miracles. Geno Smith as the starter and Jr Whopper hands as a backup? yeah, that team isn't going anywhere.
I think Raiders have a good core with Mendoza,Jeanty and Bowers plus $108,000,000 in cap space
Get the right coach and who knows

Btw it’s Mike McDaniel

Mcdaniels is Josh
