My fear is the 49er's completing a few long passes off playaction and busted coverage.
I agree with that.
Also, the Steelers have 9 ******* days to prepare, while the 49ers are coming off a Monday night game and have to fly 2600 miles for the game.
So let's see how well prepared the Steelers are for the game, compared to the Niners. Let's see ... I am expecting a nail-biter, where it seems like the Steelers are shocked that the 49ers run the ball and have a pass rush. Why? Because every ******* week.

The 49ers have Vernon Davis, but they seem to forget about him. If they decide to use him it could give us trouble. Colin's scrambling could be an issue with our undisciplined cant get off block's defense. Boldin could also pose problems for out DBs. The 49ers D looks to be better than the Pats D so if the offense does not step it up we could be in trouble. I wouldnt be surprised if it was a low scoring game. I see us pulling it out late by 3
Heard this stat on the radio the other day. Of the teams that begin the season 0-2, only 12% of them make the playoffs. So technically you're right. lol

Right. If you think about it, you need to be 10-6 or better to clinch the playoffs in almost all cases! 9-7 often does not cut it. 8-8 may get you there is you play in a bad NFC division and win it!
If you start 0-2, you need to win 10 of the last 14 games to finish 10-6. Winning 10 of 14 is a tall order, even for the best teams in the NFL.

We are a different team at home. I do have one fear. Tomlin coached teams have a bad habit of playing down to the level of bad teams that finish .500 or worse. In the past three years, the Steelers have lost 3,3, and 4 games to teams .500 or worse....and some of then were real doormat types.
Is Shazier ready to play?
The 49ers shut down the Vikings run game but they didn't have to respect their QB. They can't run 8 in the box against Ben. Ben will make them pay if they cheat down to stop the run game. As long as we convert our drives into TDs, take care of the football and play some type of respectable defense I think we win this game. We have to make Kap pass to beat us. The DL is gonna earn their keep this week freeing up our LBs to make tackles.

Kind of hard to hit the QB when you don't cover the receivers like last week. We still were able to sack Brady. Kap isn't going to stand in the pocket though. He's going to move and that's where we need Shazier able to play spy so we don't get gouged on scrambles.

that would be a very good number for the D. Hope they contain them
The offense needs to one out and hang some points on the miners right away.
To many times they come out and dominate the TOP & appear to be dominating only to go into the half with score of 10-7 or 10-3
Giving the opposing team hope & a moral victory that they are still in the game.
Their defense gets a few stops and stArts putting ours on the field to long.
Then they give up a score & it's tied or we are losing.
Now it's a dog fight and everyone puts the blame on the defense.
The waste so many opportunities to put away teams early.
Tampa bayast year comes to mind as a recent example.
NEW ENGLAND finished pretty well few years ago with a 31 st ranked defense.
Steelers offense has a ton of talent and has had time playing together.
The defense we know is young and has had way.to many New moving pieces to be expected to dominate.
They still should be better but would it surprise anybody if the offense struggles.to score over 21 this week?

where have you been lately? every game you circle and "expect to win" comes down to the last 2 minutes and is decided by a field goal. this team has no games that i think that they couldn't lose.
