4.63 40 @saftey. Is this too slow for a DB in coverage?

Sounds like a special teams player. And yes I have seen him play in games. Allen Was not good in coverage at the senior bowl practices.

I guess all NT ILB and RB’s must suck in the Steelers eyes from rounds 3-5

I read he ran in the 4.5's at his pro day. He didn't run at the combine.

Allen held onto his 37-inch vertical and 15-rep bench performances from the NFL Scouting Combine, but he at his pro day added a strong 4.59 40-yard dash time and a solid 7.13-second three-cone drill to his NFL Draft résumé..

He should be fine for the box.
 
My only guess with 2 bigger safeties is we are truly going to abandon rushing the passer and have 6 DB's on the field, 3 LB's and 2 DL. I absolutely hate only having 2 DL on the field. It hasn't worked for us. Maybe these bigger safeties will help but I'll need to see it to believe it.
 
I would say we can have Heyward, Tuitt, and Hargrave on the line, Burnett and Davis as true safeties, Edmunds and Allen as hybrids, and 4 CBs. Might work, but that is relying on a lot of new people
 
lame pick. We now appear to have 5 safeties on the roster more suited for strong rather than free. With Settle and the pass rusher from Oklahoma still there...really?
 
6'2", 215 lbs with safety movement skills/athleticism. Feed him some steaks and get him in the weight room. It wouldn't be the first time a team moved a prospect from Safety to ILB.

Why not go cheer for another team coach cause obviously the Steelers ate the worst run organization in the NFL..they do absolutely nothing correct in you're eyes..actually you are obviously such a fantastic talent evaluator go get a GM job some where teams most be lining up at the door

Coach you were really on a roll in this years draft. More so than in any other year that I can recollect.

This draft the Steelers had an eye on the future as well as the present.We added some solid talent that can contribute now and in the future.

You do realize though you will never live down your criticism when we moved up for Troy. What was that you said again? Oh yeah, his head was too big. Timeless Coach!
