AJ McCarron wins grievance, will be free agent in March

By Nick Shook NFL.com

AJ McCarron is heading toward employment freedom.

McCarron has won his grievance against his current team, the Cincinnati Bengals, and will become a free agent with the new league year in March, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed.

McCarron was a fifth-round pick of the Bengals in the 2014 draft out of Alabama, where he won three national championships.

Around The NFL will have more on this story shortly.

Yeah. I don’t understand why everyone has a boner for him every offseason. We have no idea what he can do at the NFL level. Someone will overpay and it may work out to be worth it.

Is there any doubt the Browns at least make an attempt? Considering their abominable failure of an attempt to trade for him

I’m calling Den as landing spot. Unless he wants paid then da browns it is. Lol

Most of those with the boner are the ones who have his wife's with poster showing her in uniform !!!!!!!!!

If the browns sign a QB then it pretty much guarantees they will draft Barkley and I don't want that.

hold on a damn minute

sounds like someone needs to produce this wife poster

I tried reproducing that poster many a time,.................. I've only been able to stick with the original.......................

I'm glad he won his case. Financial security for anyone who plays this game is a great thing. He's going to get a Glennon sized deal.

I thought he played a decent game against us a couple years back. No, nothing great, but there is potential there for sure. I don't have a boner for the guy, but I would kick the tires on him as a back-up. Can't be much worse than what we have now in Dobbs and Jones.

The bengals see him every day and would rather have Andy Dalton start. McCarron is a complete unknown.

People gotta realize that backup QBs having a nice game against the Steelers is not a guarantee of anything. Especially if that's the most we've ever seen the guy play. There is not a QB on an NFL roster that is too bad to play well against our defense

would bring him in a heart beat on a 3 year high end back up deal i.e 3 years 10 mill, unless he wants to shoot for a starting gig ASAP will be tough with guys with many starts on their resume like Foles, Keanum & possibly Teddy

Doubt AJ is going to settle being a backup now that he’s out from his rookie contract.
