I mean he had that total mutiny the Fluke super Bowl season... and it was a fluke... then missed the playoffs 4 of the next 5 seasons and frankly its not looking great this year either...

Defensive coaches are not en vougue right now... of the top 7 teams in defensive points allowed, 1 has a winning record...

The problem isn't Harbaugh, it's been their teflon GM Ozzie Newsome, not having a single hit in the draft in the past 5 years.
Since the Flacco/Ray Rice draft in 2008 Mosley is the only pro bowler, and he's a liability in coverage. His style of backing is leaving the NFL.
You have Peerman (special teams) and Tyrod Taylor make the pro bowl after they left Baltimore
Then you have 1 OT, and a FB. Talent at these positions are not winning you games. Damn Osemele didn't even make the pro bowl as a Raven. It was after he went to the raiders that he became an all pro...
The Ravens suck drafting where it matters: skill position players on offense and disruptive players on defense. There is little wonder as to why they don't have a winning record. They have ZERO drafted pro bowl talent on the roster. That's why people calling Ozzie a draft genius must have missed his past 10 drafts...

I think its a bit of both... Harbaugh is past his expiration date as a coach... sometimes they need a change of venue and get fresh ears and maybe get some different perspectives on things.. outside of Cowher and cheaty mcCheatpants... you don’t really hear about coaches being effective after a decade
I think Hairball is a good coach and will be happy to see him go. i think their golden touch at the FO especially for defense seems to have dried up. If the Jackson kid turns out like he looks they are basically screwed for the next 5 years. First they have to dump Flacco, then they have to realize

Putting it in more perspective, since 2009-2014, Ravens only have 2 first round draft picks still in the league Mosley and Jimmie Smith. That's 2 out of 6 drafts!!
2015 first rounder was Brishad Perriman and his whopping 44 receptions for 580 yards. Juju had that in 8 weeks! Ha!!

Doesn't that indicate coaching is part of the issue, or am I missing something?
Great point Ark, though Tyrod wouldn't have started at QB in Baltimore with Flacco as the starter, and Peerman was only a special teams pro bowler, not as productive on offense.
Though Osemele is a failure in coaching, though they released him after his rookie contract and did draft his replacement in Stanley. Though they'd rather have him now. Tackles are expensive, so the move made money sense, Osemele cost $58M over 5 years. Picking a tackle at the top of the draft should have been a cheaper replacement at a fraction of the price.
Problem is they are paying average to good talent, great money, and Flacco is tying up a great portion of the cap.

Starting quarterback Joe Flacco is dealing with a hip injury that puts his status for next Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals in question, according to several sources. The severity of the injury is unclear.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh and Flacco’s agent, Joe Linta, didn’t respond Friday to a request for comment
The injury occurred on the Ravens’ sixth play from scrimmage in last Sunday’s 23-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers as defensive end Stephon Tuitt drove Flacco to the ground. On the very next play, Cameron Heyward also hit Flacco.

One of my great dilemmas at being a Steelers fan is I can't ever decide if the Steelers/Colbert/Tomlin are GOOD at what they do or 90% of the rest of the league is just completely, utterly TERRIBLE at what they do and that makes us look great.
The decisions some of these owners make to re-hash, re-hire, regurgitate GM's, head coaches and assistant coaches is just mind numbing. Not to mention the silly money that's thrown around on free agency and the frivolous use of draft picks. I'm kind of at a point I give up trying to use logic to judge any of it.

Lewis was so excited ahead of the announcement Hue would join his staff. Imagine you're a player in that locker room and a guy who couldn't win a game comes in and is on your coaching staff. Hard to take him seriously.
