I hear that the only thing that will lift the curse of that franchise is burning that stadium to the ground with the team inside... or maybe sacrificing Ray Lewis to a jackass...

Did Bill Cowher just buy a new house in Cleveland?

Bill is living a great life now. Gets paid nice money to do what we do here for free, watch and talk football. No 18 hour days. When he didn't have any interest in the Giants, I knew he was done.

FULLY agree and "chucky" should have stayed out of coaching as well. Cleveland is a pretty tough gig as Hue found out. They did give him quite a bit of leeway but he failed. I would think the "NEW" coach would do pretty well and given ample room to make an impact. I'm NOT saying is a highly sought after JOB BUT A YOUNG UP-COMING COACH COULD MAKE A NAME FOR THEMSELVES. The coach that turns that shithole around would definately deserve some of the accolades given. Do I hope they find this "new" coach,.....HELL NO but one must realize someone is going to come along and Cleveland won't be irrelevant forever.

Here's to the owner digging into the coaching **** he should leave alone.

John Dorsey did something that Colbert didn't have the ******* balls to do years ago, firing Todd Haley. How many ******* Big Ben prime years did we waste with that tit stick at the helm of the offense?

I can see Hue Jackson getting fired this week. The likely replacement would be Mrs. Haley's husband, which is probably why they hired him and also why Hue Jackson keeps reminding people that he's the head coach.

Well, that didn't go like I thought it would.

Toddster did okay with KC, which is another team with ****** up ownership and front office.

Yet they've done nothing but win with Reid since Haley left. I personally think Haley pisses people off, and he's not talented enough for people to look past it anymore.

Dysfunction in Cleveland That Preceded Jackson and Haley Firings

There was no way for the Browns to move forward with their coaching staff as it was constituted—and the move to fire both head coach Hue Jackson and OC Todd Haley was a strike to bring some level of normalcy to the building. Last week it became abundantly clear that the conflict was unfixable. Jackson publicly said that he would be more involved in the offensive meeting rooms, but nothing changed in the days to follow. And the fact that Jackson hadn’t been involved in teaching, building or gameplanning the offense all along—a result of giving Haley the autonomy he was promised—led to the players having credibility issues with the head coach.

I’m told Jackson, for his part, grew frustrated that Haley just seemed to do his own thing. The distrust that grew from this ran so deep that senior offensive assistant Al Saunders (who worked on projects for Haley) was seen in some corners of the building as Jackson’s spy. It’s hard to point fingers in a situation like this, where things get so bad that no one can go forward. But one should be directed at owner Jimmy Haslam, because these personality conflicts have now happened repeatedly (Joe Banner/Mike Lombardi, Ray Farmer/Mike Pettine, Sashi Brown/Jackson) on his watch. Part of hiring, of course, is finding people who can work together, and Haslam has had trouble there.

Baker Mayfield wasn’t shy with those around him about his feelings on Jackson, and it’s fair to say he probably wasn’t heartbroken on Monday morning. A key now will be finding the right guy to work with Mayfield, who has a reputation for assessing his coaches, and wanting the “why” to go with the “what” and the “how.”

So the rookie QB is already making public statements and professional judgments about his coaches?

Could yinz of imagined Big Ben the rookie making such statements about Coach Cowher?

I dont think so...

The Browns are still Clowns!

Browns are forever cursed man!
I feel sorry for them at this point.

Anybody willing to take the clowns job is either just trying to get into coaching or a complete moron. It isn't the coaches or the players. It's the ownership. It's a clusterfuck.

He just might be up the road in Cleveland.

Cleveland may want an offensive-minded coach so they can build around Bradford. However, if they could bring in a guy like Harbaugh and then hire a top OC, Cleveland could finally become a 6-7 win team.
