AFC Division Game - Jags vs. Steelers

I dont fault the coaches for being agressive. I fault them for bad play calling in those situations. I also blame the refs some for not calling a god damn holding or PI when they were obvious. Yes we gifted them a FG but we also were robbed of oppurtunites by the bad play calls and lack of talent at ILB. We played to conservatively on defense we should have gambled more for a turnover.

OK, so that evens things out. Then add in the two gift TDs on our turnovers. Throw in ****** Defensive play. Those turnovers were HUGE and actually verifiable things that you can point to, unlike coaching decisions you disagree with.

It was coming together and he was a wildcard. He makes big plays and gives more opportunity to swing the game the rest of the ILB’s are just meh to bad.
 
Bad play by the D players , horrible D coaching. And two ****** Tomlin decisions. Not to mention this team came out of the gates on both sides of the ball looking like ****.

He HAD to do those things in part because of his **** ups earlier.
If the same guy who starts a fire in your house is the one who runs in to save your dog, do you give him a medal?
 
I’m disappointed, but I also had 13 super happy games and enjoyed being a fan of my Steelers this year. It’s disappointing for sure, but we do have a good team. Just need to be better, and I’m sure they will try to do that.

It just amazes me that some of y'all can't see that the 14 points off of turnovers were as big a contributing factor as the ****** defense and bad coaching decisions. All combined to create this **** storm.

Ben is the absolute best QB this team has ever had. A sure H.O.F. QB ... However, he's not above reproach.

JFC, Ben threw a pick and a sack fumble against the best D in the league. They do that to everyone .

The majority of those 42 points was due to talent and Ben winging it. It had nothing to do with Haley’s playcalling or scheme.
 
I can only hope for a Jags vs. Vikings or Eagles superbowl, so I can watch it.
 
No team should have to score 32 points to beat the Jags. At the very least, Butler should be fired and we NEED to hire OUTSIDE the current coaching staff for the new DC.

Tomlin will never be fired, but he should be embarrassed. And the media can stop the bug-hugging, he isn't even an average coach.
 
I giveth not one **** about what happens for the rest of the playoffs/SB. Also, this team is becoming more difficult to enjoy each year. The bullshit celebrations and first down antics, stupid public comments almost weekly from one player or another, and a general sense of lack of discipline on this squad all gets worse every year under Tomlin.

All the OC has to do is get out of the ******* way then. Getting rid of our OC is like complaining that a car with 4 flat tires, a broken wind shield and a dead battery, has no windshield washer fluid. There's a lot of other problems before you get to that.

Ben threw for two absurd tds on fourth downs that we had no business going for... he gifted the Jags two touchdows... those two even out no matter how you look at it... everything else he did was im the positive column....
 
Shout out to bermuda and his wife for sharing this game with me and mine. Not the outcome we wanted, but definitely fun and memorable. Hopefully we can do it again next year with a few more of yinz! Thanks for driving out this way brother!

I didn't even know you were in the TB area. So yinz didn't invite the Gang over too ? I'll bet Supe is butt hurt about that.LOL
 
Damn. This loss was on the D and bad situational coaching today. Shazier was a huge part of what made this D slightly about average. Without him, they are below average when there's no significant pressure applied on the QB. Any QB in the league can pick the DBs apart with enough time. Mitchell has to go. We need a quality safety and ILB in free agency and/or draft pick #1. Can't blame Ben for this at all. The pick was a great play by the D more than anything. Without Ben, this team is nothing and I just happy that it looks like he's coming back next year because at least that means we should get back to the playoffs. Would love to see some coordinator changes made but I don't think we will... Will be a long off-season, but I will be excited for Steeler football again come fall...

LOL! Thought Supe got an invite. Next year for sure we’ll get the South Florida gang together. I think we might play in TB next year. If so, we’ll make an event out of it.

They don't even out because the early "gifts" put them in an uphill battle with our defense being ****** and unable to make stops. Those turnovers were part of the reason Jax was able to get on a roll.
And yes, the defense sucks. Defense, coaching decisions and two turnovers cost us this game.
