Not sure you would deactivate Burns. I think I would be more inclined to deactivate Sutton in comparison...

I went with burns because Sutton is more diverse. He backs up the slot, the edge, and could play FS in a pinch, plus he's all over ST. Burns is an edge corner only. It's just like Sensabaugh. If Sens isn't starting, he's inactive. Much like Hunter. One of the Edge corners has to sit, and this week it won't be Sense or Haden.

Thanks for the write up G.. Your predictions and articles are by far the best out there. I read but never find the indepth of your explainations. Most talking heads / paid reporters are just throwing stink **** and seeing what will stick. I know you like doing this but also want you to know many of us here appreciate your time and effort.

Can Burns play special teams? Perhaps you could sub him with one of those players...

He can and does some. We have enough safeties that can cover his 9 ST plays he'll be out of. 9 was his number of ST snaps last game.

Can't see Burns being inactive. As much as people on here ***** about him, he is still the 2nd best CB on the team. Sutton and Cody haven't shown enough to take the spot. They may not start him like they did with Ike years ago but that's about it until we have a better option. So far, I certainly haven't seen a better option on our current roster. Sutton could still get there but not yet.
