James Washington stood out the most at ota’s
 
He has the makings of another Smith Schuester from what I've read about him. Strong, hard nosed kid that doesn't put up eye popping combine numbers but will bust his *** every day to get better and will knock your block off if you get in his way.
 
Id rather have a shorter slower guy who just makes plays. Then a guy who looks Moss like and gets 650 yards in 16 games.
 
I like his background. Hard working farm type person. I think you will always see good work ethic from him.

Without the diva persona.

I still want to see those reports in pads. But I have a feeling we will see just that.

One thing for sure is you will see the effort that Bryant didn't give.
 
James Washington is greater than Martavious Bryant ...............He's a STEELERS player and MB is NOT.

Football in shorts isn't football. We will see what these guys can do at Latrobe and in the pre-season for the young kids.
 
I don't even think he's "slow" even though his 40 time wasn't impressive

Dude consistently got deep against everyone they played and made huge home run catches. He was to OSU what we always wanted Martavis to be for us, but he didn't quite put it together consistently. I honestly think, 40 time aside, he has the ability to be our home run hitter. When the defense is forced to worry about everyone on your offense who can all do different things from each other, that's when you start to feel unstoppable. If we stay mostly healthy, and Washington becomes a better version of Martavis than Martavis was last year, we will be eating good all season long
 
His tape in college looked great. Constantly making hands catches in tough spots. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he's a pro bowler within 3 seasons. I know i was just watching the highlights, of course, but he looks like a playmaker.

the kid has the build to be able to perform with the pads on.
 
Jerry Rice made a living at being faster on the field than his 40. Not that Washington will become that, I mean who does? besides AB.

But I think he will be the hard working Sanders type of WR. Without the problems that came with him.
