AB just asked Raiders to release him (and the Raiders Release him)

Chucky is on the spot now. Sorry is the most over used word in the NFL. I guess the pacifier Chucky gave Brown to stop crying just was the wrong color. For all the Oakland players that came out and supported the sad crying sorry BS now you see what the Steelers team went through.

The question I have is... Will the league office finally put their foot down and say "Buuullshiiiit!"

Brown's comment on the post then reads: "And that's fine! I have worked my whole life to prove that the system is blind to see talent like mines. Now that everyone sees it, they want me to conform to that same system that has failed me all those years. "I'm not mad at anyone. I'm just asking for the freedom to prove them all wrong." Release me @raiders #NOMore #theyputblindersonahorseforareason #NoMoreFake."

The system has failed him? What other system will pay this guy tens of millions of dollars a year? What an entitled little prick.

LOL, the Raiders fined him $215 Large and he has yet to play a Fa-King game for them!

Here's an interesting angle. AB went after Mayock.

That GM has a huge ego as well. He's been putting AB to task all season and is fed up with his ****. I can see him ******* AB for this, because the Raiders aren't into treating their players like family (from an ownership perspective), like the Steelers are. Here's what I would love to see.

Week 1: Suspend him, voiding his guarantees.

Week 2: Submit the 5 day sheet to Rosenhaus. If AB doesn't show in 5 days to play week to week football, he forfeits the ablity to play in 2019. No playing anywhere else, no recourse, nothing.

Mayock could do this, it doesn't cost them a thing and it hurts AB the most - taking money and playing time from him. Plus it makes sure no one can use him this season. Next season, he is still under contract and they can lather, rinse, repeat this whole process, unless AB grows the **** up. And the topper, Mayock is the GM and can refuse any trade offer, just to **** AB.

AB is a liar, a bad team mate, and a terrible person. He deserves every ounce of what he gets from Mayock. He picked the wrong fight with the wrong dog.

The issue with keeping him and just not playing him is the distraction is will cause just like in PIT. The raiders will spend the whole year answering questions about him and leading off pregame shows, we all know AB won't shut up and the media won't stop covering it

This would be so excellent -
The conduct fine voids the guarantees in Brown's contract, Pelissero reported. Brown received a contract increase when the Raiders sent two draft picks to Pittsburgh for him, but Oakland has yet to pay the wideout. Most of the 2019 compensation is in a $14.625 million base salary that is now in jeopardy, Pelissero reported.

If the Raiders do release Brown, "they believe they already have license to void his $30 million in guaranteed money from his failure to practice and other infractions. They believe they can move on," Rapoport reported.

PLEASE release this assclown and let him realize he just douchebagged his way out of $30 million.

I love it! But, if this is true and AB is playing week to week, there is no way I see him playing. I know I wouldn't. Way too risky. If he gets hurt, his career is over. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

So remember back when he was still on our roster and when people here were saying to carry him on the 53 and make him a weekly inactive out of spite so he can't do anything? That was a bad idea, as it was counterproductive and detrimental to the Steelers organization. But now that the Raiders can keep this dumpster fire stoked by keeping him inactive out of spite, I'm all for it!

Can anyone explain to me why the Raiders could terminate his guaranteed money and the Steelers could not? I would have gladly kept the 20m in cap space over a 3rd and a 5th. That money could have been used to keep Hargraves which will cost you a first or a second next year. Or they could have easily FA'd a solid backup TE this year. Maybe even one with starting potential down the road.

You left out “Brown is crazy”!
I’m no professional but his strange and aberrant behavior is peculiar to almost everyone other than his own selfish arse.
I’d lay good money on a bet that fool has some underlying mental disorder. It would be interesting to hear from a bona fide shrink to get their take.

I hope the Raiders do keep him. I can't see him risking playing week to week with no guaranteed money other than that weeks paycheck. His whiny *** will be crying racism and conspiracy just like Kaperdick has been doing.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it's because he has not played a game for them yet. It's a week 1 paycheck that takes them over that cliff on guaranteed money.

Yep, that’s the way I heard it explained....he is vested after playing week 1 and money is then guaranteed and applied to team cap. No play...no guarantee...no cap hit. AND the fine has the same effect on the guaranteed money.

For those that remember it more clearly, how does this all compare to the T.O. story? I remember that stuff happening, but didn't pay as much attention to it because there was no vested (Steelers) interest in it when it was happening. Just curious as to how interested the next team will be.
