AB is my MVP

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong games, but the 4 games Ben missed, I'm showing Brown having 17 catches-235yards-0TD's.
That comes out to 4 catches, 58 yards, 0 TD's per game.
Balt-5 rec-42 yards
SD-3 rec-47 yards
Ariz-3 rec-24 yards
KC-6 rec-124 yards

Pretty obvious which game Jones started isn't it?

I thought he had a big day against AZ which was Landry's best day as I recall. i know he had one big game with Jones on TV, and I was at the KC game. Martavis Bryant had a pretty good game that day. He gets 2000 easy if Ben plays all 16 games . Easy. The SD game alone could have been high 100's or low 200's. There defense is terrible.

AZ was Jones coming out party, but the big plays were to Bryant. Vick had trouble hitting anyone that game, Brown had 1 catch when Jones came into the game. On the second drive with Jones, Jones missed a wide open Brown on an underneath route, Brown when to Jones and gave him a pep talk and pat on the helmet, on the next drive he hit Brown for a beautiful back shoulder throw for 23 yards, which you could see Brown yell at Jones "That's what I'm talking about, that's what I'm talking about!" Wasn't a big game for Brown, but it was for Bryant.

I know I know he won't be and he had a little pocket change less than Jullio Jones on the same amount of catches (though AB had 2 more TDs). But what a friggen season. I remember when Megatron was this thing of lore. He had one 1900 plus yard season and a big three year burst around it. AB has now put up 1500, 1600 plus and now 1800 plus. Unbelievable achievement and just over half of the yards thrown for the season by the guy who will win the MVP. Just sayin.

I absolutely agree AB is phenomenal and insanely productive. One mark, though: He disappeared when Ben wasn't in at QB.

Brown with Vick - 8 catches for 97 yards
Brown with Jones - 13 catches for 291 yards
(edited, forgot Jones came into the game against the Raiders)

See above, as you clearly missed the post skimming thru...getting tired of hearing this excuse. Vick is not an NFL caliber QB and is the very reason that Brown's numbers suffered in Ben's absence NOT Brown himself. The entire offense suffered because of Vick.

Vick - 251 total yards, 97 yards passing, 154 rushing yards per game, 21 ppg (the AZ game was split between Jones and Vick based on what they did in that game, the Rams game was not included which helps his numbers)
Jones - 378 total yards, 240 passing yards, 138 rushing yards, 21 pts (pro-rated for two games because of his two relief efforts)
Ben - 418 total yards, 323 passing yards, 95 rushing yards per game, 28.4 ppg (this is including the Rams game as a whole which Vick came in)

With Ben, our offense would rank #1 in total offense (we finished 3rd), #1 in passing offense (we finished 3rd), #22 in rushing yards (we finished 16th), and #4 in pts (we finished tied with Seattle at 26.4).

With Vick our offense would rank #32 in total offense, #32 in passing offense, #1 in rushing offense, #23 in scoring offense.

IN SPITE of the three games Vick started, and the 1 game Jones started and finished, we still finished as a top 5 offense. You can see how much better the offense was able to move the ball with Jones over Vick, especially in the passing game, further showing that Brown didn't disappear, the entire Steelers passing offense disappeared with Vick at the helm.

Vick is why Brown didn't eclipse 2,000 yards. In the one full game Brown played with Jones, he had 6 catches for 124 yards.

One thing to remember. Has there ever been a great receiver that put up his numbers with a sub par qb. Jerry Rice didn't play with shlubs. He had Montana and Young. I'd say Moss didn't exactly play with Super Stars till the end of his career.

Qbs make wrs, a lot more than the other way around, with the exception of maybe Megatron.
