AB Goes to Oakland

Is that only one time suspension or just four games in a row?

He comes back acts up again inactive one week, the following week you suspend him another four games.

I think 4 is the max a team can do in a season per CBA.

How big of douche must one be to only get a 5th round pick better than Martavis Bryant in a trade? This question for both AB and Mr. Colbert.

The Steelers are proving clueless in asset management and team /roster building...if not for a future HOF QB the 80s would've repeated. The fact that our "coach" allows this to be the pulse of the players and that our FO can only get a 3rd and a 5th (and maybe a comp pick for Bell next year if we don't spend in free agency) for losing BOTH a top 5 RB in the league and most productive WR over the past 5-6 years is an embarrassing joke. The clowns have downgraded to blubbering fools. Both the these players lost in their prime for virtually no return. The cheating Masshole HC is laughing his *** off at us knowing he would've had a different exit strategy from this mess and likely netted multiple first round picks in the process,

The current ownership doesn't have the balls to move on from their Rooney Rule golden boy and would rather wallow in mediocrity. Combining all these factors makes this a very hard product to continue purchasing. The **** storm needs to end and a ray of sunshine would be nice...I never before felt like giving up this product, but the idea has started to cross my mind.

Help me BR7 you're our only hope

Did you see his new contract? That's why they only get a 3rd and 5th.

The roster has been good enough, the coaching has not.

Sure.

If you make an artificial deadline and foolishly stick to it.

No football will be played for months. No players will report for months.

I bet you the market for HOF WR improves in April around draft day.

I don’t think it matters for 2 reasons: 1. The Steelers needed to get rid of Brown more than any team needed the head case. 2. Brown continued to hurt his value with every video and statement he made...another 2 months of his incoherent Ebonics was not going to help increase his value. As long as owners are willing to reward these type of elite players, the elite players will always hold all of the power and leverage. If there was no team that would take problem children, the odds of third behavior and demands happening would be next to nothing.

Neither the roster or coaching has been adequate. Little depth, several holes is not "good enough". It was a good enough roster for a fringe contender team, a lil pup at the meal. Outside of a few years this roster has had several issues with being good enough and the coaching has consistently not been good enough. All we have to do is view the results...neither has been good enough and we are trending down.

LOL, this team was 11-5 in 2016 and went to the conference championship game, 13-3 in 2017 and would've won the AFC if not for a questionable call on James TD on a rule that was changed by the time the Super Bowl arrived, and would've won the division last year if they didn't completely abandon the ground game last season.

Did Steelers explore sending AB to Bills(or any team) for a conditional 2020 or beyond draft pick (terms agreed to by both clubs). He would have to report to Bills under current contract this year to receive any money (roster bonus too?) and play subject to suspension for disruptive behavior. Performance would dictate round in 2020. If he did not report Steelers/Bills revisit terms of trade in 2020. No help for us in 2019 but possibly 2020. Would need a very good trading partner to pull something like this off if it is even legal under CBA.

Would've and could've are excuses by those that were not good enough.

Yeah we got a B+ or A-. I'm sure the Browns or Bengals would like those seasons. Not good enough is and always will be what those seasons were...and those were a couple of their best from the last decade.

Laughin at your angle on this one...agree to disagree

Well, they did in 2016 and 2017 and I claimed coaching was the biggest issue that they haven't gone further, which was a major issue in 2018.

This sums it all up the best way. Just read.

He has some valid points, but it's hard to take the guys at SD seriously half the time due to lack of objectivity.

The Steelers bosses (Tomlin, Colbert and Art II) do nothing but **** fresh shrimp and piss fine brandy according to that site.

To his points, there is a big difference between absolutely having to move a player and being scared of bringing him back.

The latter seemed to be the case with the Steelers, and they were stupid enough to admit it.

Brown was going to be pissy if he came back next season, and that would be different from past seasons how, exactly?

What the **** are they paying Tomlin for?

use that 3rd and 20 to jump in rnd to get CB greedy Williams. if we want to fix ilb then fa sign PJ Williams and draft Devin White or Bush

The once proud Steelers organization gets on their knees and admits AB is their daddy. What an embarrassment, an *** raping of epic proportions.

If I was Ben I'd demand $100 million cash for next year or I retire, lol

They would just trade Ben to the Bills then.....oh wait.

I would still rescind the deal, if for no other reason than to show AB who is really in charge.

The corollary to that is that Shades is 13-3 when his kicker is money and wins 4 games in the last minute or on the last play, and 9-6-1 when his kicker sucks because he doesn't put teams away.
(13-4) + (3+4) = 9-7

He went public with it. That's the difference.

That makes no difference to the Steelers who have been putting up with Brown's **** for years.

I was of the view that the Steelers needed to get rid of Brown since the end of the season, but by acting like they had to move him not matter what, they completely neutered themselves.

I'm sorry, but the Steelers ****** up here.

My goodness the amount of vaginas I'm seeing, and very few are laying the blame for our return at the feet of the only one who torpedoed any chance of a better return, Mr I'm broke and need more money to blow/stats>wins himself. Bet team unity will be better this season than we have seen in years, the cancers are out of the locker room

You know what helps team unity? Winning.

Subtracting Bell and Brown, and continuing to rely on that idiot Tomlin to improve the defense, is NOT a recipe for success.

Regardless of Tomlin, you want those 2 cancers you can have them
