AB breaks silence..denies claims by media

OJ Mayo certainly has some height, but lacks the ideal weight. Though, maybe it can be done since he's suspended by the NBA for another season for drugs. If he hits the same diet that Casey Hampton was on, he has a chance. Though, I don't see why you'd want to spend a first round pick on a washed-up NBA player who's 29, underweight and has never played TE.

He will be cheap!!

Thought I was the only one who caught that. This is the second or third time I've seen someone reference OJ Mayo on here as someone we should draft.

PS: If the Steelers opt to Cut L Green pre-June 1, 2017, they save $2,625,000 in cap space.

Yes!
Do not pass Go, Do Not collect $200.

Steelers yearly keep who they want. And yearly manage the cap just fine.

I have seen no superstars leave Pittsburgh.

Just a few fringe players that the FO wasn't going to overpay for............

Brown and Bell and Ben are going nowhere.

How do you pay Bell and Brown? And have the money for Shazier, Tuitt, Dupree?

Shazier and Dupree are both 1st round picks. We will pick up the 5th year option on both pushing out a big payday for both. Bell gets the franchise tag, make him prove it. That leaves Tuitt and Brown. Plenty of cap space and a cap projected to rise too. It is not a problem.

I'd add that if Bell is signed to a contract that it should be 3years (or loess) with recouperable moneys if drug test fail.
