Aaron Rodgers is Back for 2026

Hey I was genuinely congratulating you on dino usage, it's boring reading the same over and over again, at least the icons make it enjoyable, don't get sassy and bitter.

I want to see the young QBs sink or swim asap, I wasn't pounding the table for bringing AaRod.

Sassy and bourbon 🤣
I should never post when nearing the bottom of a bottle of Maker’s

My reading comprehension goes down
And my piss and vinegar goes up

I felt like if I was beating a dead horse some more flogging may resuscitate the poor *******…

I wouldn't say many limitations. Not as mobile as he used to be, but can still move around.
That's the only one I can think of as he still has a rocket launcher and is still very accurate.

His accuracy isn’t what it used to be, not close
His mobility isn’t what it used to be, not close
His fearfulness isn’t what it used to be, not close

Sure he can still read the field
Still has pretty solid arm strength

But when ya have to develop an offense predicated by a QB that can barely move, requires the ball to get out in 1.5 seconds, and may just hit the eject button on holding the ball if he sees a rusher coming…yeah, there are SERIOUS limitations to his game at this stage.

McCarthy's offense should help.

I think his accuracy and arm strength are still good. Mobility is non existent and he certainly bails on plays. I think he is going for self-preservation, but if you are worried about that then it's time to hang them up. With a better system, better line, better receivers, and just the familiarity he should be more productive

With this team & bolstered talent, Aaaa-Ron should be 12-15th ranked in the league.

Anything less, is a failure on the QB part age / self preservation / FO ……….. ect..

I know we have to see how the “system” plays out.

I agree he can't play like when he was 30. I mean there is no doubt, but we'll see if the O-line does a better job this year..or they dont.

And that is going to be the big factor even with his limitations I think.

You can hear his pain pills bouncing around in their bottle as he runs...lol.

We could go on and on and on……..and of course…..we will. It is after all a Steelers fan forum It’s not the direction I was leaning towards, but here we are. Welcome back Aaron, hopefully you will prove many of us wrong.

I choose to remain positive, and eagerly await the regular season, when of course we will dissect every play. And the “I told you so “ begins again.

Until then my fellow Steelers fans the beautiful outdoors of British Columbia awaits me. A little swimming,a little hiking, festivals galore, beach picnics and low tide wonderment with my grandchildren.

And of course there’s a little soccer tournament coming to Vancouver very soon. While I get the feeling many on here poo poo soccer and the World Cup I love a World Event like this for my city. I have no problem going downtown, shooting the 💩 and having a few beers with the thousands upon thousands of international tourists expected. Events aplenty.

My eldest son leaves at the end of the month for a 17 day bicycle trip to Iceland. You should read his route and itinerary. Described by fellow cyclists as “ one of the last remotest bike trips on our planet “ and “ makes biking in Patigonia look like a summer breeze”. What a trip! I wish I still had that energy! As some of you might recall this is my son who had a heart attack in 2021,10 hour surgery with a few new parts involved and he hasn’t missed a beat! Did the mountains of Northern Thailand last year. A little harmless plug for my kid.

You bet your *** it does. 16-1 3-0 AR repays us for the one he stole from us, (or Spinthenfall handed them).
Who would have ever thunk the coach/qb combo that beat us would later be us???...lol.

I wonder if this has ever happened before...hmmm..gonna have to do some research now. I'll bet it's never happened in the NFL.

Soooo happy they got him instead of the USC fruitcake.

I like his interview(s), the talking heads have good to say, teammates seem to like him and talk good of his ability to catch….

Hella Yes SIR.!!!

well, its the only explanation for bringing rodgers back.. They think superbowl is possible with the upgrades etc.
It isn't the only explanation, thinking neither young QB is ready and would have their confidence destroyed playing to early and believing right or wrong that Aaron can help their development is a legitimate scenario as well. While also hoping to catch lightning in a bottle with an unlikely run by Aaron.

For me I know that is a popular media perception but I always think the coaches better be front lining that and not their starting QB. I do get there can be occasional mentoring. I would lean on the SB perspective and not being confident they are ready thought process way before thinking what Aaron could do for them.

Maybe buy them an ice cream. I hear A A Ron likes butterscotch. 😅

I think it is learning by example not him being "the coach", sharing thoughts on what he is seeing while they chart the game and talk on the sideline. Way too many young QBs have failed by being played too early. The Super Bowl QB is an example of what can happen with some time, even after being played too soon. Very very few are truly ready right away and some that look ready still fail, like Stroud after his first year and possibly Daniels if he doesn't turn it around. They may have benefited from a slower approach but lack options derailed that.

No, actually there is very little difference. Example: I would not be upset if my I found a $20 bill in the dryer. Is that somehow different than wanting it to happen? You style your comment in the flaccid, "I wouldn't be upset if ..." fashion to pretend you are not wishing injury upon Rodgers.
Actually, that's a stupid analogy, and you're reaching.
Not sure how tape wound up being in your reply, but as to what I wrote - how the hell would that be inconsistent with what I wrote about Allar being tutored for a year before taking a real NFL snap? Allar being low on the depth chart is exactly what I suggested as a possible plan for him this year.
You and he evidently share the idea that the Steelers are just planning to groom Allar for the job. That's why. And it's bullshit.
