Don't be surprised if he leaves and goes elsewhere, if he brings Cowher's playbook with him, and we will know exactly what he will do and how. So everytime we play his new team, we can predict which of the eight plays and defensive alignments he will employ. Should be an easy win.

I guess that's why the Steelers are one of the NFL's most losing teams during Tomlin's tenure. Always an easy win against old Mike.

Tomlin will be here for 15 or 20 more years. But, dreaming is free.
While I pray you're wrong, it wouldn't be out of the question.
But I seriously believe IF Tomlin does Tomlin things, and is over .500 but loses in opening round of the playoffs the next three years, that even the Deuce cannot ignore anymore and doesn't renew the contract again.

This is my boat, I’m paddling as hard as I can to get this boat to fruition.

I think Coaching change happens at the earliest with ending of Coach Tomlin’s current contract, or when Art 2 steps down for sure.

It isn’t just the coach himself, but also all the sub-coordinators he has brought in to continue the slag performance all down the line. (Keeping the OL coach is proof).

Was hard to imagine and accept an 8 yr drought, but extremely hard to fathom a 11 yr drought and still have a job. ADD in this great franchise’s history and performance.

I wonder how many non-Cowher players coached under Coach Tomlin, will make the HOF ???

So in 10 or 15 years we can look forward to winning 1 game if by chance we play that team. Something to look forward to. Yeah

I can think of one sure fire (Watt), one maybe (Heyward), and one that should have been sure fire (Brown).

But if he goes to Cinci or Cleveland or Balt. that'd be 2 wins a year every year, so there's that :sneaky:

Ben made a startling statement on his podcast that should tell you everything you need to know about Tomlin. Per Ben:
“I had a conversation with Coach Tomlin and we were talking offensive stuff. I said what if their defense does this? Coach said, they won’t. I said what if they do, what do we do? Coach said they won’t.”
I rest my case! Tomlin as I’ve said for years around here thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room. He’s too ******* arrogant to take a step back and objectively look at things. All Ben was asking this so called great coach was what if the opposing defense comes out in a different look. Tomlin’s response, they won’t.
WTF are we doing here with this guy?

I'm so glad all this **** is coming out, there's been a decent number of fans that have been saying this stuff about Tomlin for at least 10 years now, and the apologist always blame the OC's or the QB's.

That's brilliant coaching right there, your HOF Coach guys, "they won't do that, so let's not prepare"
LOL, reminds me of when we got our ***** handed to us by NE in the AFCCG in 2016, they ran some reverse or flea flicker, when asked after the game about that, Tomlin said that's the first time I've seen them run that, they ran the exact same play 6 weeks prior that vs Baltimore.

Heyward is the bubble. Brown should be in, 2nd or 3rd ballot. Just my opinion, but if Shazier hadn't gotten injured....... he sure could of had a chance.

One thing that might drive him out early is if he realizes that additional non-losing season with no playoff wins will tarnish his reputation and keep him out of HOF consideration or any future gigs as a coach or sports personality - not that he should be considered HOF in any case.

I don't know about the future but Coach Tomlin's resume as is, probably gets him into the HOF.

This team has had the talent to have been way more than what they end up being. Not just this past season, but for the last 13 years as well.

Tomlin should go down as doing the least, with the most.

Hey it is one more thing to look forward to.

As long as there are butts in seats drinking his beer eating his food Rooney will “just be glad he’s our coach”

Playoff wins don’t matter, he just said as much

It’s all about Art’s “winning culture” he has locked in place…and Mike is that culture to Art.

I don't know. All depends if he has the all-time Steelers win total and/or 200 total wins. I believe Tomlin could have 3 straight losing seasons and get extended. Rooney will simply roll out the "rebuild" word. And who else would you want doing it besides Tomlin?

He would be voted in tomorrow if eligible. His non-losing career touted by the media would be enough to get him in alone, but then add the Super Bowl he got from Cowher.

Steelers one of the NFL most losing teams under Tomlin???
Are you not aware of his “no losing seasons”?
The Steelers have the second highest winning percentage over the last 20 yrs. behind the Pats.
They have the highest winning percentage in the NFL since 1970.

You would think with such a stellar history that they’d have a couple more Lombardis sitting in the trophy case.

TOMLIN IS YOUR COACH….Deal with it
Screw you and your caps lock button tough guy

We don’t half to accept it and we don’t half to settle for it.

If you’re all good to get our pants pulled down and bent over the goalpost in the wild card round again next year that’s your problem

If 70,000 chant “fire Tomlin” when we have 3 first downs and 3 points in the first half of the 2025 home opener maybe Rooney will be an embarrassed into action. Thats how we got rid of Canada, its the best hope to get rid of Tomlin.

Only losers lay down and settle for this putrid coaching

Don’t forget that CMT himself will be a first ballot enshrine. It’s a good thing he did his SB run early on with Bill’s team, otherwise he would be know as another Marvin Lewis.
