San Fran should know a receiver can be productive for many years past 30. Rice was still productive up to 41.
San Fran will not trade the #2 overall pick for AB. I also don’t think our 2nd round pick thrown in would do it either.
Now with that said I would not except anything less than a first rounder but don’t think it will be a top 10. Mid first round and mid 3’rd round would work for me.

Fitz is 35. He put up 100 catches and 1,000 yards per up until this year when he had 69 catches for 734 yards and 6 TD's on a ****** Cardinals team. They said he was washed up 5 years ago and he has still been producing.
I don't care. AB will be busy on his new team, and would really look bad if he took a shot at his cousin. We need a speed WR. He's it.
If not for Boswell, we make the playoffs. I have zero faith in him. Have you ever seen a kicker say I used to lack confidence that is playing well in the NFL? Berry is just below par. Why pay a kicker 4-5 million and punter nearly 2 million? We can draft better and save oh about 5 million in cap space.
Special teams need to be upgraded. I take that back, MUST be upgraded.

Brown is 30. No one say he hasn't been remarkable and healthy for years. Yes, they might. Jerry Rice is sold on him. This is a below average receiver draft. San Fran might ask us for or 2nd in exchange for their third for Brown and the #2 overall pick. I hope so.
If Tomlin can't handle divas, get them out.
you don't think he would be all up in his cousin's ear with a bunch of BS? Or trying to scope out what is going on inside the locker room so he can make it public?
AB+ 3rd 6th for Peterson Fitz
AB+ 3rd 6th for Peterson Fitz
Fitz is a free agent I believe.

Regarding a team trading the #2 pick in the draft for Antonio Brown ...
Would ANY team pass on a guaranteed Hall-of-Fame player with the #2 pick, knowing that the team has him for 3 seasons at a total of $34 million, and a guy who produces better than any other player at his position DAY ONE??
Jeez, Louise, Brown caught 16 balls his rookie season. Like the vast majority of positions in the NFL - RB being the most notable exception - a draftee spends the first year being okay, learning, etc. and then takes off in his second year or later.
So the choices are:
- Take an unknown player with the #2 pick, get not much the rookie season, hope he becomes a solid player, maybe even a Pro-Bowler, or
- Get a Hall-of-Fame player still in his prime and the best at his position in the NFL, for three seasons at a very reasonable cost, and get that production RIGHT NOW.
Not seeing how keeping the #2 pick is a better road.
And P.S. - I just don't think the Steelers can trade Brown, take that massive cap hit, and suffer a serious downturn in their roster.
I think it is a serious crack pipe dream to think we will get the second pick. While your logic makes total sense the NFL does not seem to work that way, I have always wondered why more teams do not trade their #1 pick more often for guaranteed star players. Having said that Dallas did give up a #1 for Cooper and it turned their season around. There was already an article posted on expected return for Brown and NFL execs were saying a 2nd round pick. They could have just been trying to drive his value down, but I wouldnt expect better than a late round #1. I still think the Steelers work something out with Brown. The Steelers basically hold all the cards right now.
