Ok first off this is not a bashing Tomlin thread. My question is this: This will be Tomlin's 10'th draft working with Colbert and I was trying to remember if he's ever traded up or back in the draft and I don't think that he has. Cowher in his 16 drafts with Tom Donahue and Kevin Colbert I can think of two draft day trade ups: One to move up and snag Santonio Holmes and the other to move up and grab Troy. And let us not forget the draft day trade where we gave up a second round pick to acquire Bettis from the then and once again LA Rams.

Seems like the last 9 drafts we just sit pat and then run up to the podium. I just don't think sitting pat is always the best thing to do and I realize you have to have a trading partner where the deal is solid for the Steelers but come on, 9 drafts and nothing? Of course running up to the podium all the time takes away any possibilities too.

Note: Please only consider trade up or down in the first two rounds. Not interested in the late rounds where we trade a 6'th and 7'th for an extra 5'th. Only the first two rounds.

I would trade down with Denver and then take Makenzie Alexander at that slot...maybe even Spence

Trade down to late 1st with Panthers or Den if one of a few guys aren't there for us, could also trade our 2nd for 2 3rds like we did years ago if you can find that dance partner.

if Lynch is on the board at 25, I expect Denver to be calling us.
The Chiefs could be interested in Lynch, as Alex Smith is not going to get any better. But to get past KC, the Broncos would need to trade ahead - with either us, Seattle or Green Bay.

Hell, I would trade with Cleveland for their high #2 pick and take their high #3 as well, plus a 5th. I bet Spence or Mackenzie Alexander will be there at that spot. It would be f'n amazing!!!

I think one year we traded our 2nd round pick after one of our Super Bowls (so that was the 64th pick) and picked up a bunch of 3rd round picks that year. That was the year with Keenan Lewis. I think Denver traded up (that when they had McDaniels as coach) and took a blocking TE.... dumb...

If Lynch makes it past the Jets, we should be thinking of trading down. AZ, KC, and Denver may want him.

expect the Panthers to draft a CB high so trading back with them or the Broncos would mean that WJIII is already gone and they don't trust either Apple or Alexander as a first round pick
