A Data Scientist Dissects the 2016 NFL Draft

Not possible. Eli Apple can't be one of the 10 sure things. Just read this board. 2nd rounder, at best.

Ohio State had 4 of the top 5 can't miss prospects. Amazing. Also amazing they had a relatively down year with that crew. One of Urban Meyers worst coaching jobs.

If Laremy Tunsil turns out to suck in the NFL, his nickname is set Laremy Turnstile!

In any event, it'd be nice to see how his analytics would turn out if he ran the same data through for the last 5 or so drafts.

He is right, with enough data, you can predict just about anything. You have to worry, not only do you have enough, but do you have too much. I'm going to guess that his system pretty automatically weeds out what doesn't seem relevant.

Most of the stuff I agree with.

Leonard Floyd is really a polarizing prospect. Sounds like the New York Giants love him and won't let him fall past #10 and most analysis is now based on him being a full-time situational pass-rusher. I really don't see that on tape yet.

I guess it comes down to is he a Bruce Irving type draft riser or a Barkevious Mingo draft riser?

Most of his others I have ranked higher than most. Most of his concerned prospect I have ranked lower than most.

BTW, I know many don't love Apple, but WJIII is even more raw than him, so stop complaining Apple isn't a day 1 starter. No cb's other than Hargreeves are, not your fav WJIII.

Very interesting that Apple is a sure fire stud while Alexander is a risky pick. I'd say both are risky but that is just one mans opinion.

Loses all credibility to me when he compares Eli Apple to Josh Norman. What exactly is Josh Norman. Josh Norman got into a very publicized skirmish with another over hyped player. Josh Norman had one very good year with a team that had great team success. Comparing a draft prospect to him is laughable. We don't really know what Josh Norman is. how can we know what Eli Apple is by comparison.
