Gordon applying for re-instatement of his suspension of substance abuse. How many chances do you give. I'm all for a drug (including alcohol) abuser getting clean and giving another chance and if a team feels to take a chance on this young man then so be it. I don't recall him creating domestic or armed abuse to anyone as I think he has only harmed himself (not counting those close and emotional). You'd be getting a good talent but the risk factor as well. I'm not advocating him becoming a STEELERS player but on another team he could potentially wreak havoc.

Isn't Gordon a weed guy? I thought they basically took weed off the suspension menu. Like Bryant wasn't a problem child. He just really liked weed. He came into the league 5 or 6 years too early

Only testing will be right before camp or in camp I forget the time slot. Then it's party on Wayne. I expect to see some really jacked up players this season...err if they even have a season.

Would he be worth a gamble on....?

I think for a lot of teams the answer would be yes. But where would he fit on the Steelers? They have locks up to at least 3 receiver sets and Washington was pretty decent last year so I'd say 4 receiver sets. A player trying to resurrect his career generally looks for opportunity. Not much in Pittsburgh.

I fully agree SteelerSask, I should have meant clearer on NOT for the STEELERS.

I fully think he is worth the risk but not current STEELERS team. You can't teach speed and Gorden is loaded with it. He excelled when not in trouble. I think he not only has smoke issues but a little demon brain talk going as well. If a team invested and monitored, he could be a good pick up.........for awhile.

Somewhere, Martavis Bryant just choked a *****.

Can he play safety? We need a back up
