When you look at our WR's depth chart it's obvious that the Steelers don't have the depth to put a quality 4 or 5 WR set onto the football field that Defenses would fear......

Our 4th, 5th & 6th WR's aren't even worthy of being on an NFL roster......

Moncrief - King of Dropped Passes
Ryan Switzer - No nothing of a WR.....guy basically catches passes 2 yds away from the line of scrimmage and doesn't do **** as a returner on special teams
Johnny Holton - Another special teams guy who is basically a gunner on special teams

How can the Steelers offense spread out a Defense when they don't have the right personnel to even put on the field?

Where do they go from here? I have no idea.....

Can't they bring back a guy like Darrius Heyward Bey.....He's a free agent and certainly better than the above 3 WR's and he's a good special teamer also.
Promote Tevin Jones from the Practice Squad.....he's lingered around the Texans, Chiefs and now Steelers for the past 3 seasons....time to find out if this kid can perform at an NFL level
Not sure who we can sign for #6 WR.....but any bum off some teams practice squad can't be much worse than what our 4,5 & 6 WR's bring to the field........

They've got to do something at the WR position.

Hopefully Mcdonald isn't out for any significant amount of time because the weakest area of the team just got weaker. As far as WR goes they should be shopping for one but probably won't. So they have to continue developing DJ and Washington. They really have no other choice. Unless they again bring a WR in. I said last week they should bring in 5 for tryouts and sign the best man. Get Gentry involved at TE because Grimble just isn't good enough............

Can Colin Kaepernick play WR?

/ducks

Wasn’t a huge fan of Eli Rogers, but at least he has made some plays in his career. Why Holton over him I don’t know—but it’s not like an early AB where he was returning kicks...

Switzer looks like our attempt to create a Wes Welker style guy. It hasn’t been successful.

Switz needs gone and Eli brought back almost immediately ( I wanted SPENCER before either of these two). Agree upon bringing in everyone WR wise and keeping the best one. Right now we are not scaring anyone.

Salute the nation

Need to get Rogers here before Cinci game, he had 7 catches against them in last years final. Not sure why he was cut, he tends to get open in games where others
aren't getting separation. I believe most of his preseason catches came from Rudolph as well.

I'd cut Switzer today for Davion Davis from Minnesota's practice squad.

For a team we all heard had depth at WR, I guess we did not have talent to go along with depth.

I hear AB is available. JUST KIDDING -- NEVER!!

Depth is easy when you have JuJu on one side and AB on the other and Ben at QB. You're missing 2 of the three. JuJu can't do it all by himself. He isn't AB. Plus he doesn't have another JuJu on the other side. None of these guys can separate and none of them are blazing fast.

I call Switzer Stu Fraser. He was a safety that played punt return for the CFL Riders in the 80s. He is the epitome of catch the punt and get 5 yards on a return. It's just another laughable decision by this coaching staff.

Well I wouldn't say none of them. DJ seems like he is on the come.

After yesterday's game it's hard to determine WHAT they have at WR.

From what I saw (and certainly I could have missed a couple, but the immediate eyeball test says...) Rudolph threw 3 really good passes yesterday, and one of them was "ok", not great.

The pass to JuJu for the long TD was ok, but he could have lead him another 1/2 yard or so. It was blind luck the DB (who, per usual was draped on JuJu like a ******* sports coat) didn't trip him up at the catch, or even get a hand on the ball. So that throw was the "ok" one.

The long ball to Washington where the DB ultimately had to tackle James - That was a good throw. It may have been his best throw of the day.

The ball to Johnson was pretty good. It hung a tiny bit, but Johnson had so much space it didn't matter. That was a good read and throw.

Other than that, he was high, wide. He was throwing the ball at about 226 miles per hour on a couple passes over the middle.

He essentially turned the WRs into DBs. You know the ball is coming somewhere near you, but you don't know exactly where it's going to be, or when it's going to get there.

good thing Mongrief wasnt on the field

Mason would have broken more of this fingers

Bwahahahahaha

Just like i perdicted months ago, they barely have the talent for 3 wide!

Second string WRs and second string RBs and all y'll believed it when the Steelers were blowing smoke how nothing was needed to improve, We Just Do What We Do, chestbump

Oh Moncrief was gonna be the great savior, i forgot
