not sold on Darnold....seems like a slightly better Rudolph..

If a solid choice is BPA when the Steelers draft...roll the dice if not wait and see what happens...I'll accept a down season if it gets up close enough where trading up for a real shot at a top QB choice is not going to kill the rest of our draft

You think you're going to find a rookie QB next year that is better than Ben lol... goodluck.

Well Herbert has a higher QBR than Ben, and Tua has a higher Rating. Unless you think he finds the fountain of youth, there is a good chance his play will be on par with some rookies next year as he gets older and more hobbled.

Ben has 29 TDs, that is 5th in the NFL

He is also 20th in QBR, 17th in ratings, and 31st in average yards/att.

What's more interesting is that he is 45th in total rushing yards, which is even lower Joe Flacco. And while you don't need to be Lamar Jackson, in today's league you need to be modestly mobile in order to keep the defense honest.


Look- I am hoping that Ben is just hurt and we can give him a rest and we can make a run come playoff time. But you are kidding yourself if you think Ben is anywhere near his peak. We are in the same position as Peyton Manning in his last year with the Bronco's.

I've also done some research and only Wilson has 120+ TDs in his first 6 years. Maholmes is on pace to hit it as well in his 6th.

I like Wilson and Lance if they fall to us which is doubtful but the Alabama QB is looking more interesting to me. I loved Darnold his Soph season at USC but he seriously regressed during his last year there. Not sure what happened. He definitely has all the tools. Wouldn't give up a first or second rounder for him but we gave up a 3rd for Rudy and a 4th for Dobbs so those picks would definitely be on the trading table for me.
